Vapes: What should we do about e-cigarettes and vaping?

00:04 So for children I think it's highly influential, I don't think we know enough. For me I think

00:08 we should just ban them. Strong word, but there seems to be a lot in the media, there's

00:13 a lot on online social platforms and things like that that encourages them not just to

00:18 vape, to do other things with vapes. So for me I don't think they're a necessity, I think

00:24 there's other ways and other things that they could be doing instead of that. There just

00:29 seems to be so many problems with them so I'd just get rid.

00:33 What do you think about vapes and young people, what do you reckon we should do?

00:37 Vapes, I think like British government, what they did was they said they were following

00:40 Australia and other nations by hiding cigarettes. So with vapes what they did, they hid the

00:47 cigarettes, as in put the shutters down on them, but then they've got all these bright

00:51 colours and all these illuminate every petrol station you go to and it needs to be censored

00:57 and it needs to be controlled and they need to be put away to be honest with you because

01:00 what's most appealing to children? Bright colours, bright flavours, bright names or

01:05 package that's branded inside the people that's covered. So with vapes they do need controlling

01:12 and the parents need education as well because I've spoken to several children from under

01:18 privileged or normal within school and out of school and they say no my parents know

01:22 it's ok, it's not a chew on a fruit gum that they're having, these are lifetime habits

01:28 and lifetime expenses and as we've seen in reports and media they're not safe, they can

01:34 dress it up how they want, people have become millionaires but it's not good for your insides

01:39 and your lungs and your respiratory system so it needs more education, more time needs

01:45 to be spent, especially celebrities and media, instead of using marketing to market other

01:50 products that should show some time and dedication towards this, it's a big issue.

01:55 What are your views on vapes and what do you think we should do when it comes to vaping

01:59 in young people? I think make it less accessible to young people, I personally feel that there's

02:09 not enough information about them, what their issues are that can be, well the issues that

02:19 can be caused by vaping and I think that's it.
