The airline industry is trying to keep up with the chasing technology when it comes to providing wifi to passengers. They are investing billions to make sure customers stay connected.

00:19 American Airlines, United, and other US airlines

00:24 to provide better Wi-Fi,
00:26 and Delta has spent more than a billion dollars
00:29 upgrading its planes to offer free Wi-Fi to its customers.
00:33 Customers have grown accustomed to high-speed internet
00:36 at work and at home, and now they want it when they fly.
00:40 The airlines use Viasat,
00:42 one of the leading providers of satellite internet
00:45 to deliver Wi-Fi on board.
00:47 Viasat recently launched a new satellite
00:50 with faster speeds and more capacity,
00:53 which the company says should help them keep up
00:55 with the growing demand for the airline industry.
