Full LED Headlight, Curb Weight 170kg and 179kg, New Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X 2023 Introduced.
Triumph has launched a new small displacement car. Triumph has recently attacked the small displacement market once again by launching its new single-cylinder models Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X.
Speed 400 belongs to the same series as Triumph Speed Twin 900 and Speed \u200b\u200b1200. Its appearance style is more inclined to street design. The classic triangular engine side cover and the mounting method of the inverted engine are very distinctive.
The Scrambler 400 X shares major components such as the engine and chassis with the Speed 400, but there are many differences in details. The Scrambler 400 X is equipped with multi-directional tires, dual high-mounted exhaust tails, larger front wheels. and longer Shock absorption stroke has better passability.
Both new bikes are equipped with the new 398cc single-cylinder water-cooled engine of the Triumph TR series with a maximum power of 29.4kw (40Ps)/8000rpm, a maximum torque of 37.5Nm/6500rpm and an electronic throttle and assist. The maintenance cycle of this engine is said to reach 16,000 kilometers, which is quite prominent among models of the same level.
The retro style combined instrument panel is compatible with the identity and position of these two cars and can display a variety of rich data such as engine speed, fuel level and gear position. There is also a USB-C charging port and heated handles are optionally available.
While both bikes have the same shock absorbers, 43mm large piston forks and a mid-mounted rear shock with adjustable preload (cylinder), the Scrambler model has slightly more suspension travel than the Speed. The Scrambler has 150mm of front and rear shock travel, while the Speed has 140mm of front and 130mm of rear travel. The brakes are also slightly different, with the Scrambler equipped with larger 320mm front discs compared to Speed's 300mm discs, brake calipers supplied by BYBRE, Bosch dual-channel ABS and the deactivated TCS function as standard.
So the curb weight of the Scrambler is 179kg, while the Speed is only 170kg. Thanks to its taller stance and longer suspension travel, the Scrambler sits at 835mm compared to the Speed's 790mm.
