O Terço - Casa Encantada 1976 (Brazil, Progressive Rock, Prog Folk, MPB)
Second and last album with Flávio Venturini. It maintains the same level as the previous work (Criaturas da Noite), however the band does not present any suite on this album. On the other hand, the theme of the lyrics is denser, as in the tracks Sentinela do Abismo, Cabala, Flor de la Noche, this one with very lyrical vocals in very well pronounced Spanish, and Vôo da Fênix. The instrumental Solaris brings the same strength contained in "Ponto Final" from the previous album, only in a briefer and more dynamic sequence and an overwhelming bass line. Both are compositions by drummer Luiz Moreno. Flávio Venturini and Sérgio Magrão would leave here strengthened to form the next super band: 14 Bis, which would adopt the Terço formula for the 80s, plus elements of national pop music. Attention to this other instrumental track: "Guitarras"- fantastic arrangement and synchrony of the instruments in its introduction, which will culminate in percussion beats and follow masterfully in a dynamic rhythm with guitar riffs and various vocal effects in a hysteria tone, having its closing in the highest progressive style. It is breathtaking! Great! "Candlelight" has faint echoes of the young guard. The nostalgic title track, which is introduced by a smooth and pleasant melody, and "It was when I saw that moon pass", are the ones that best show Flávio Venturini's lyricism and talent as a composer and melodist. The album closes with another very nostalgic song: the acoustic "Pássaro", the MPB and regionalist side of the album, with beautiful guitar and accordion arrangements. Highly recommended!
The fourth album in the discography of the group. Not the best but not the worst ... For collectors of all good, for music fans - listen once for the overall development and forget ... It is better to know what is meaningless nod ...
