00:00:00 Revelation 3, go to Revelation chapter 3 verse 1.
00:00:06 We are going to continue.
00:00:10 We've got about three lessons left because we have three churches left.
00:00:15 The church is closed, Christ's final words, just to remind and to share with those who
00:00:23 may be tuning in for the first time or maybe you've tuned in but you've yet to hear my
00:00:28 explanation for the title, the church is closed meaning there will be a time when the Ecclesia
00:00:33 of the Lord Jesus Christ is not in the earth.
00:00:38 We will be caught up, we will be caught away.
00:00:43 Buildings will still be here.
00:00:45 As a matter of fact, I firmly believe these buildings will become safe havens and these
00:00:51 buildings will become places where new believers in the Lord meet and congregate.
00:00:58 But the church as we know it right now, when he appears, in that sense the church will
00:01:08 be closed because the church will not be here.
00:01:14 And so his final words are here in Revelation, his final words to the church.
00:01:20 In chapter 2 and chapter 3, he tells John, say this, write this to the angel of the word
00:01:31 symbolic of the pastor of the church at Ephesus, Thyatira.
00:01:38 Today we're going to read what's said to the church in Sardis.
00:01:45 Sardis is known as the dead church, the dead church.
00:01:51 Why is Sardis the dead church?
00:01:55 Sardis is the dead church because works came to a halt.
00:02:03 Works came to a halt.
00:02:05 They were doing some, some which were good, sadly some which were bad, and some which
00:02:16 were not, meaning coming to nothing.
00:02:21 So in this first verse of Revelation 3, it says, "And to the angel of the church in Sardis
00:02:26 write, 'These things says he who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars.
00:02:33 I know your works, that you have a name, that you are alive, but you're dead.'"
00:02:41 In other words, you're walking around, you're breathing, but you're dead.
00:02:46 "Be watchful and strengthen the things which remain that are ready to die, for I've not
00:02:54 found your works perfect before God.
00:02:58 The path that they're heading or that they were heading in was a path in which what remained
00:03:05 was also going to die."
00:03:08 But he says what?
00:03:09 "Be watchful, vigilant, and sober, and strengthen those things that remain, that are ready to
00:03:16 die so that they do not die, so that you are not dead internally and externally fully."
00:03:30 In this first verse he says, "He who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars."
00:03:39 Now the stars are the angels according to Revelation 1.
00:03:43 We also know there are seven lampstands.
00:03:45 A lampstand is a church.
00:03:48 When you read about the lampstand in Revelation, you're reading about the church.
00:03:53 Seven stars, seven angels, seven lampstands, seven churches.
00:03:58 But now we're reading about the seven spirits, and that's also communicated in the first
00:04:03 chapter of Revelation.
00:04:04 I've shared this with you before, but I want us to go to the book of Isaiah, forgive me,
00:04:09 Isaiah 11, look at verse 1 and 2 in reading about these seven spirits.
00:04:15 Now the Bible isn't clear about who or what the seven spirits are, but it appears that
00:04:24 the seven spirits come by way of the Holy Spirit.
00:04:30 They come by way of the Holy Spirit.
00:04:33 And so what we have here in Isaiah chapter 11, the words of the prophet, the Old Testament
00:04:45 prophets also saw the coming of the Lord.
00:04:49 Many of their prophetic words are in harmony and in sync with the revelation of Jesus Christ
00:04:55 that was given and shown to John the Apostle.
00:05:00 Seven spirits of God, there is a theory, one of many, probably the most communicated
00:05:08 theory on who or what the seven spirits of God are, are found in this one verse, Isaiah
00:05:15 11, verse 2, but we're going to start with verse 1, which reads, "There shall come forth
00:05:22 a rod."
00:05:23 A what?
00:05:24 A rod.
00:05:26 A rod, this word rod can also mean branch.
00:05:31 It can also mean twig.
00:05:34 So it sounds to me like this is tree related.
00:05:38 So it says what now?
00:05:39 It says, "There shall come forth a rod."
00:05:42 In your Bible, I'm not sure which version you have, but is your rod a capital R?
00:05:48 It's a capital R. So that should arrest our attention to who or what this rod is.
00:05:54 Okay, let's keep going.
00:05:56 There shall come forth a rod from the stem, more tree lingo, from the stem of a particular
00:06:06 individual by the name of who?
00:06:08 Jesse.
00:06:10 All right, seasoned saints, you should know who Jesse is.
00:06:14 He's the father of who?
00:06:16 Father of David.
00:06:17 This rod is coming from the stem of Jesse.
00:06:23 This rod then comes from David, and there is one in the gospel known as the son of David.
00:06:32 The rest of this verse says what?
00:06:34 And a branch shall grow out of his roots.
00:06:39 This word branch means just that, a branch or a sprout or shoot.
00:06:45 Once again, tree lingo, tree talk.
00:06:49 Well, we have heard in the gospel where Jesus said, "I am the vine."
00:06:55 We know that he is synonymous with the tree of life.
00:06:59 Therefore, we know that the prophet Isaiah is referring to who?
00:07:03 Our savior, our Messiah.
00:07:05 He is the rod.
00:07:07 He is the branch that stems from Jesse and comes from his roots.
00:07:13 And look at this next verse, because the next verse gives personality to the rod and the
00:07:20 branch.
00:07:22 Look at verse 1 again.
00:07:23 "There shall come forth a rod from the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his
00:07:29 roots.
00:07:30 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon not it, but him."
00:07:37 And the Spirit of the Lord is the Holy Spirit or the Spirit of God.
00:07:41 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon the rod and the branch that is him and who is
00:07:47 him, our Messiah.
00:07:52 Now let's read the rest.
00:07:53 The Spirit of what?
00:07:55 Wisdom and understanding.
00:07:56 The Spirit of what?
00:07:58 Counsel and might.
00:07:59 The Spirit of what?
00:08:01 Knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
00:08:05 Your Bible should, if you have a version that capitalizes the R in rod and the B in branch,
00:08:13 then in verse 2, everywhere you see the word Spirit, it should also be a capital S. Well,
00:08:20 we know who the Spirit of the Lord is, which would be number one.
00:08:26 Look at two and three, wisdom and understanding.
00:08:30 Four and five, counsel and six and seven, knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
00:08:35 The fear of the Lord.
00:08:36 It's believed these are the seven spirits of God.
00:08:41 Now it is obvious that the six that come behind the Spirit of the Lord are affiliated, associated
00:08:48 or attached to the Spirit of the Lord.
00:08:51 How many of you know that when you get filled with the Spirit, you get filled with wisdom?
00:08:57 Whether you use it or not, that's up to you.
00:08:59 But when you're filled with the Spirit, wisdom comes, knowledge comes, counsel comes, might
00:09:05 comes, knowledge comes, the fear of the Lord comes.
00:09:07 It all comes with being filled with the Spirit.
00:09:11 So the belief is that the seven spirits of God are that which emanates from the Holy
00:09:16 Spirit.
00:09:17 And we can somewhat see a picture of this right here in Isaiah 11, verse 2.
00:09:24 Shall I continue?
00:09:26 Okay.
00:09:28 Go to Matthew chapter 5.
00:09:33 Have you noticed that these letters to these churches have a common theme in works?
00:09:45 How many times has Jesus said, "I know your works"?
00:09:49 Meaning what?
00:09:50 "I know your deeds," because works are deeds.
00:09:53 Okay, look at Matthew 5.
00:09:58 We're going to go to Matthew 5, and then we're going to go to Matthew 23.
00:10:00 We're going to look at what we should be doing and what we should not be doing.
00:10:06 Matthew 5, 13, "When you have it, say, 'I have it.'"
00:10:13 And I'll read here.
00:10:14 It says, "You are the salt of the earth."
00:10:19 How many of you know salt is important?
00:10:24 Some of us don't know what to do with our lives without salt.
00:10:30 Some of us know we've been consuming a bit too much salt.
00:10:37 Some of us know that we can eat some food, and by the first bite know it needs a bit
00:10:42 more salt.
00:10:45 Now, he says that we are the salt of the earth.
00:10:53 He says, "But if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it, the earth, be seasoned?"
00:10:59 If the salt loses its flavor, the earth has no seasoning, because you and I are the salt
00:11:05 of the earth.
00:11:06 It says, "It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by
00:11:11 men.
00:11:12 You are also not only the salt of the earth, you are the what?
00:11:17 You are the light of the world."
00:11:19 If we are the light of the world, that means the world is synonymous with darkness.
00:11:26 God's people are then synonymous with light.
00:11:28 You are the light of the world.
00:11:30 Watch this, "A city that is set on a hill can't be hidden."
00:11:33 And that's the prophetic language here as well when you think about New Jerusalem and
00:11:38 even the camp of the saints in the very end.
00:11:42 "A city that is set on a hill can't be hidden, nor do they light a lamp and put it under
00:11:48 a basket, but on a what?
00:11:50 Lampstand."
00:11:51 And we also know that lampstands are churches.
00:11:53 And it says, "And it gives light to all who are in the house.
00:11:59 Let your light so shine."
00:12:01 This is how bright your light should shine before men.
00:12:04 "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works."
00:12:12 Good works should be seen by men.
00:12:15 They should be seen by people, by humans.
00:12:20 And when they see your good works, they should be drawn to what fuels those good works.
00:12:28 They should glorify your Father in heaven.
00:12:32 We should be functioning and operating in good deeds so much that people want to know
00:12:37 about the God in us or around us or the God that's on us, even if they don't fully understand
00:12:43 God.
00:12:44 "Your works are so that they're drawn to something supernatural."
00:12:51 Now here's what we shouldn't be doing.
00:12:54 The best teachers on what we as believers should not be doing are the Pharisees.
00:13:07 They're the cream of the crop.
00:13:09 Look at Matthew 23.
00:13:14 Matthew 23.
00:13:15 Here's where Sardis, the church at Sardis, and there's a Sardis-type church in the earth
00:13:21 today.
00:13:22 There's a Sardis phase of the church.
00:13:26 Because these seven churches weren't only seven churches in Asia then, but seven phases
00:13:31 of the church and seven types of the church.
00:13:36 And notice, even the churches that Jesus had to rebuke, they had some good things going
00:13:41 for them.
00:13:43 But then there was this or that that they allowed, that they tolerated.
00:13:50 And Jesus is giving us, the church, ample time to repent from that.
00:13:56 In other words, to have a mind change about it because where it will eventually end if
00:14:01 it's not arrested is departing the faith.
00:14:06 This is why Jesus writes to the church in his final words, "He who overcomes."
00:14:14 Matthew 23, look at verse 1.
00:14:17 It says, "Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to his disciples, saying, 'The scribes
00:14:24 and the Pharisees, they sit in Moses' seat.'"
00:14:28 Meaning what?
00:14:29 A seat of authority.
00:14:32 Moses was the head of the congregation of the children of Israel.
00:14:37 They sit in Moses' seat.
00:14:39 "Therefore, whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according
00:14:46 to their works, for they say, but they don't do.
00:14:51 The scribes and the Pharisees will tell you what you should be doing, but they're not
00:14:55 doing what they told you you should be doing."
00:15:01 Look at verse 4, "For they," what?
00:15:02 "They bind heavy burdens hard to bear."
00:15:06 Where'd they get these burdens from?
00:15:07 They just pulled them out of the atmosphere.
00:15:10 Because they have nothing to do with the Word.
00:15:13 The Pharisees added to the Word by way of oral tradition, and they equated oral tradition
00:15:18 with the canon of Scripture.
00:15:22 But you don't add to the Word.
00:15:23 You don't, you don't, you don't, you don't take the traditions of the fathers and make
00:15:27 it equal with God's Word.
00:15:30 You can consider it.
00:15:31 You can, you can, you can study, study up on it.
00:15:35 You can verse yourself in it, but never give it the weight of authority that God's Word
00:15:41 has.
00:15:44 And that Pharisee spirit has been in the church since Catholicism.
00:15:53 It has.
00:15:54 There was a little bit of it before then as well.
00:15:57 You can see some legalism in the epistles, in the Acts church.
00:16:03 The extra stuff that I come up with because I'm standing high above you up here, in my
00:16:10 high vaulted position, therefore you're beneath me.
00:16:14 So you do what I say.
00:16:15 Matter of fact, whatever I come up with, you do.
00:16:17 Don't question it.
00:16:22 So I'll just proof text scriptures, make up all kinds of stuff, all kinds of doctrines
00:16:26 and traditions and weigh them down on you for my benefit.
00:16:34 That ought not be the case.
00:16:37 So he says, "They bind heavy burdens hard to bear."
00:16:39 Mind you, I don't do any of that.
00:16:45 You all know I'm always looking for a sacred cow to cook.
00:16:54 But I'm talking about traditions that have been birthed out of the loins of men.
00:17:00 And they have become so heavy on people and so dogmatic that they're likened to scripture.
00:17:07 So then new believers are judged on these things, or maybe believers that aren't as
00:17:13 versed in scripture are judged on these things as if they were scripture.
00:17:19 And the violation of them as if you're violating scripture, but you're not violating scripture,
00:17:24 you're violating some tradition some man came up with.
00:17:30 And all traditions aren't bad.
00:17:33 But when traditions become more important than the word or as equal to the word, that's when
00:17:37 it's problematic.
00:17:38 So what do the Pharisees do?
00:17:39 Look at verse four.
00:17:40 "They bind heavy burdens hard to bear and lay them on men's shoulders, but they themselves
00:17:46 will not move them with one of their fingers.
00:17:51 But all their works," all their works, "all their works which are their deeds," the deeds
00:17:57 of the Pharisees, "they do to be seen."
00:18:03 They do them to be seen by men.
00:18:07 They make their phylacteries.
00:18:11 What is that?
00:18:13 Well, phylactery is one of two things.
00:18:18 The first, it's literally a fortified place, right, provided with protection.
00:18:24 All right, now take that like a garrison, all right, so you can think like fortress,
00:18:31 but then take that concept and imagine it applied to an individual like myself, someone
00:18:38 who might occupy a position like myself, one who might fortify their own garrison and have
00:18:46 their own security to such a degree, because security is wise in the age of the church
00:18:52 today.
00:18:53 We've got to have some security.
00:18:55 But to the point to where they're so untouchable, they're so vaulted up that they can never
00:19:01 be accessed.
00:19:04 They lord things on people but don't do them themselves.
00:19:10 But then in addition to that, the phylactery was also something that was on the garment
00:19:18 of the Pharisee.
00:19:21 It could have been some kind of preservative or maybe an amulet.
00:19:25 The Jews would use this word to describe small strips of parchment on which were written
00:19:31 the following passages of the law of Moses or certain passages of the law of Moses, and
00:19:38 which enclosed in small cases, they were accustomed when engaged in prayer to wear fastened by
00:19:44 a leather strap to the forearm, the forehead and to the left arm over against the heart
00:19:50 in order that they might thus be solemnly reminded of the duty of keeping the commandments
00:19:54 of God in the head and in the heart.
00:19:58 So imagine you write down the law of Moses, you attach it to your garment where your heart
00:20:03 is or where your head is, and that's symbolic of it always being before you.
00:20:08 The problem was the Pharisees didn't do what was attached to their heads and hearts.
00:20:14 They did their own thing.
00:20:16 And all of their deeds were only once again done to be seen by men.
00:20:19 Those are dead works.
00:20:21 Those are dead deeds.
00:20:25 In addition to that, they would enlarge the borders of their garments.
00:20:28 They loved the best places at feasts and the best seats in the synagogue.
00:20:34 Greetings in the marketplace and to be called by men, "Call me rabbi, call me pastor, call
00:20:41 me bishop, call me archbishop, call me apostle, call me archapostle."
00:20:46 Because sadly some men loved that, they'd feed off of that.
00:20:54 Call me this title.
00:20:55 And it's so sad that Jesus didn't call us to titles, he called us to functions.
00:21:01 He called us to governmental administrative positions in his commonwealth and in his church.
00:21:10 But too many, male or female, in vaulted positions of authority gravitate to those titles.
00:21:22 One of the things that bothers me the most in the body of Christ, and it bothers me,
00:21:28 I mean, some people don't see it as an issue.
00:21:31 Some people actually believe they can use Scripture to justify it, but a lot of times
00:21:35 you'll see pastors acquire another title and their ordination service is considered an
00:21:42 elevation.
00:21:47 Pastors being elevated to bishop, bishops being elevated to apostle.
00:21:55 That's not an elevation, that's a transition.
00:21:59 Because if the pastor is beneath the apostle in authority in any setting, then Peter took
00:22:07 a demotion because he started off as an apostle, he closed his ministry out as a pastor.
00:22:16 Doesn't sound like God is the God of decrease, sounds like he's the God of…
00:22:22 So a pastor can't elevate to an apostle, he can transition, he can just move over to
00:22:32 it, but it's not an elevation.
00:22:36 And the bishop's not an elevation either because all a bishop is is a pastor.
00:22:40 But see what men do?
00:22:43 See the traditions men have created?
00:22:46 And then you've got these, you know, here's the elder, the elder's down here, and then
00:22:50 here's the pastor, and then here's the bishop, and I realize that all three are the same
00:22:55 thing.
00:23:00 Based on the Bible.
00:23:03 Now you have a decision to make, you can go with Bible or you can go with man.
00:23:10 See that's that Pharisee spirit in operation.
00:23:15 Not everyone is fully aware that they're being used in that, but that's what it is.
00:23:24 Greetings in the marketplaces and to be called by men, "Rabbi, Rabbi."
00:23:29 That's what they want to hear.
00:23:31 These are the dead works.
00:23:32 The Bible tells us in Ephesians 2.10 that we are God's workmanship, we are created for
00:23:38 good works or good deeds that we should walk in them.
00:23:41 In other words, the life of a believer is a life of good deeds.
00:23:48 Our entire kingdom life should be filled with good works and good deeds.
00:23:52 Now I don't do those works and I don't do those deeds so that I can be saved.
00:23:57 And I don't do those works and I don't do those deeds to maintain my salvation as if
00:24:01 I might lose it if I don't do enough.
00:24:04 No, I do the good works and I do the good deeds because I am saved.
00:24:10 Because I am His righteousness, because I have been justified.
00:24:14 Are you with me?
00:24:16 Okay.
00:24:18 Now take a look.
00:24:23 Second Corinthians 5.10.
00:24:26 Second Corinthians 5.10.
00:24:27 Let's look here.
00:24:30 Since we're talking about these works, Peter said, "As long as I'm in this tent, I'll stir
00:24:35 you up by what?
00:24:37 Reminding you."
00:24:38 Remind you of something you've heard before.
00:24:41 We have all heard what?
00:24:43 That we will stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
00:24:51 Romans 14.10 tells us, Paul says this, he says, "Why do you judge your brother or show
00:24:59 contempt for your brother?"
00:25:01 He says, "We must all stand before the judgment seat of Christ."
00:25:05 That's what he tells the Romans.
00:25:06 Here's what he tells the Corinthians in Second Corinthians chapter 5, verse 10.
00:25:10 He says, he says, "For we must all appear," where?
00:25:14 "Before the judgment seat of Christ."
00:25:18 In the Greek, bema.
00:25:21 Literally it translates into reward bench, the reward bench.
00:25:26 The bench where you receive your rewards.
00:25:31 That's the judgment seat of Christ.
00:25:34 Let me say again, this is not the judgment seat where you find out if you get in.
00:25:44 This is the judgment seat where if you make it there, you know you are in.
00:25:52 The judgment seat of Christ is not the same as the great white throne judgment.
00:25:57 The judgment seat of Christ is the judgment seat for the church, for the saints.
00:26:04 The ecclesia of Christ.
00:26:07 And it says that we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one
00:26:12 may receive the things done in the body according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
00:26:22 I believe one translation says something along the lines of receiving the things according
00:26:27 to the deeds or receiving the deeds.
00:26:30 In other words, we will stand before the judgment seat of Christ and we will receive compensation
00:26:36 for the deeds we did when we were in the body.
00:26:40 When were we in the body?
00:26:41 When we were on the earth.
00:26:46 That's what that means, for the deeds done in the body.
00:26:48 And watch this, notice that it says whether what?
00:26:51 Good or bad.
00:26:53 So there will be some saints.
00:26:55 I know it'll be none of you.
00:26:59 It won't be any of us in here or any of our online family.
00:27:03 It won't be any of us standing before the judgment seat of Christ and giving an account
00:27:07 for bad deeds, but there may be some other Christians that stand before the judgment
00:27:14 seat of Christ to give an account for some bad deeds along with their good deeds.
00:27:19 Here's the thing, deeds whether good or bad or both, it has no effect on your salvation.
00:27:26 It has an effect on your rewards.
00:27:30 Will you receive precious stones, gold and silver or wood, stubble and hay?
00:27:38 Will your works be burned up by a refining fire or will you receive crowns?
00:27:48 That's what happens at the judgment seat of Christ and those rewards once again are based
00:27:52 on the deeds done in the body, the works.
00:27:57 So let's make sure that we're not Sardis, that our works are not dead and that our works
00:28:03 are not Pharisee at their core, but rather good works that when seen by men, they're
00:28:10 drawn to God.
00:28:15 Are you here this morning?
00:28:18 Back to Revelation.
00:28:21 Now let's look at verse three, Revelation 3, 3.
00:28:30 It's getting hot up here.
00:28:39 Do I have a thing?
00:28:43 Have my other handsome son bring that to me.
00:28:48 Revelation 3, find verse three.
00:28:55 Thank you young man.
00:28:58 Sidebar, he grew overnight.
00:29:02 No, no, no, I'm serious.
00:29:05 Like he's taller than he was yesterday.
00:29:07 I kid you not.
00:29:11 What again are you supposed to do with kids that don't stop growing?
00:29:16 You can't even wear my clothes anymore.
00:29:19 This is…
00:29:21 Revelation 3, 3 says, "Remember therefore how you have received and heard, hold fast
00:29:28 and repent."
00:29:29 Remember repentance has to do with the changing of the mind.
00:29:33 Converting has to do with going a different direction.
00:29:36 Repentance is the mind change.
00:29:37 He says what?
00:29:38 He says hold fast and do what?
00:29:41 And repent.
00:29:42 "For if you will not watch," that means if you're not sober, if you're not vigilant,
00:29:47 "I'm going to come upon you as a thief and you will not know what hour I will come
00:29:51 upon you."
00:29:53 Now when Jesus talks about this, whenever the day of the Lord is like a thief in the
00:30:00 night or the coming of the Lord is like a thief in the night, we have to understand
00:30:04 exactly what that means.
00:30:06 First look at Luke 12.
00:30:08 Look at Luke 12.
00:30:11 We'll look at these… we'll look at these scriptures that we have gone over before,
00:30:25 but it does not hurt to go over them again.
00:30:31 Luke…
00:30:32 Okay, Luke 12, 39.
00:30:37 Jesus is talking about the… he's talking about the faithful servant and the one who's
00:30:46 not so faithful or considered evil.
00:30:51 Here's what he says in verse 39.
00:30:53 Look he says, he says, "But know this."
00:30:55 All right, we're kind of coming into this context, but you'll be able to tell exactly
00:30:59 what Jesus is saying here.
00:31:00 He says, "Know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would
00:31:05 come, he would have watched."
00:31:08 That's anybody.
00:31:12 He would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
00:31:14 He says, "Therefore, you also be ready for the Son of Man is what coming at an… it's
00:31:19 coming at an hour that you don't expect.
00:31:23 This follows the master if he would have expected the thief."
00:31:29 Okay, so then what's Jesus saying here?
00:31:31 He's saying the Son of Man is coming like a thief.
00:31:35 Okay but let's… let's keep unpacking this thing.
00:31:39 Go to Peter now.
00:31:41 Look at 1 Peter 3.10.
00:31:45 Now, I've been teaching you all this for quite some time, so by now you should know the difference
00:31:52 between the appearing of the Lord and the coming of the Lord, and you should also know
00:31:56 the events that would surround both.
00:32:00 When I read this Scripture, you should be able to tell whether this is the appearing
00:32:04 or the coming.
00:32:05 1 Peter 3, look at verse 10.
00:32:10 That's probably supposed to be 2 Peter 3.10.
00:32:14 I'm sure it is because I'm in 1 Peter 3.10 and that's not what I want to read.
00:32:23 My bad, media team.
00:32:24 2 Peter 3.10.
00:32:31 Okay remember what he said in Luke?
00:32:34 He said, he said, "Be ready.
00:32:38 The Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect like a thief in the night."
00:32:46 2 Peter 3.10.
00:32:49 Read what he says here.
00:32:50 He says, "But the day of the Lord."
00:32:53 First thing we want to ask, which day are you talking about?
00:32:57 You can read in the Scriptures and you can read about that day.
00:32:59 Well, what's that day?
00:33:00 That day could be the judgment seat of Christ.
00:33:02 That day could be the great white throne judgment.
00:33:05 You know, many will say to me in that day, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name?"
00:33:10 That day is different than the other that day.
00:33:13 You got different that days.
00:33:15 So, you got to know the difference between that day A and that day B and that day C.
00:33:22 So listen to what he says here.
00:33:23 Peter says, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night in which the
00:33:27 heavens will," what?
00:33:28 "With a great noise and the elements will," what?
00:33:32 "Melt with fervent heat.
00:33:34 Both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up."
00:33:37 Does that sound like the appearing of the Lord or the coming of the Lord?
00:33:40 Well, I didn't hear a lot of you answer, but those of you who did speak, I heard coming.
00:33:49 And you're absolutely right.
00:33:50 This sounds like the coming of the Lord because we know that around the coming of the Lord,
00:33:54 John says, "I saw a new heaven."
00:33:57 So if the heavens are melting away, this doesn't sound like the rapture of the church.
00:34:01 This sounds like the coming of the Lord.
00:34:03 Well, guess what?
00:34:04 The coming of the Lord, even though we know the Lord is coming.
00:34:07 Now, of course, the church won't be here for that.
00:34:10 Matter of fact, we're coming back with him.
00:34:16 We're the saints on horses coming back with him along with the holy angels.
00:34:22 The loud boom and thunder of the coming of the Lord.
00:34:28 But watch this.
00:34:30 Those during the tribulation don't know exactly when he's coming.
00:34:38 Those who are serving God during that time know he's coming, but don't know exactly when
00:34:42 he's coming.
00:34:43 They can get a ballpark idea, but no one knows the hour.
00:34:48 Jesus said that.
00:34:49 All right, but now look at 1 Thessalonians.
00:34:57 This right here has to do with the appearing of the Lord.
00:35:00 This is him receiving his church.
00:35:02 Now, remember last week, I also shared with you about another judgment that happens in
00:35:07 between the judgment seat of Christ and the great white throne judgment.
00:35:11 That's the what?
00:35:12 Judging of the nations.
00:35:15 And guess who's going to judge the nations with Jesus?
00:35:19 Us.
00:35:21 We will.
00:35:23 Not only are we going to judge the nations with Jesus, guess who's going to rule the
00:35:27 nations with Jesus?
00:35:29 Us.
00:35:32 Look at all these rulers and judges in here.
00:35:38 1 Thessalonians 5.
00:35:41 Look here at, look at verse 2.
00:35:47 Verse 2.
00:35:48 All right, here we go.
00:35:49 It says, "For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord," see, the day of
00:35:54 the Lord.
00:35:55 But as you read this, you'll be able to tell this is different than 1 Peter 3:10.
00:36:01 So this is a different the day of the Lord.
00:36:05 Okay.
00:36:07 It says, "You yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in
00:36:11 the night.
00:36:12 For when they say peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them as labor pains
00:36:16 upon a pregnant woman.
00:36:18 They shall not escape.
00:36:19 But you, brethren, you're not in darkness.
00:36:23 So that this day should," what?
00:36:26 It's not going to overtake us as a thief because we're fully aware of it.
00:36:31 We know it's coming.
00:36:32 We don't know exactly when it's coming.
00:36:34 Once again, we might have a ballpark idea, but we don't know the day.
00:36:38 We don't know the hour.
00:36:40 We don't know the exact time when he's going to come to receive the church, but we know
00:36:44 what's going to happen.
00:36:46 So for us, while it's likened to a thief in the night, it's not going to overtake us like
00:36:51 a thief in the night because we won't be caught off guard.
00:36:54 Now notice you read about some destruction.
00:36:56 I'm here to tell you.
00:36:57 How many of you believe what the Word says about being caught up?
00:37:04 So you do realize that means we're not here anymore.
00:37:07 We're gone.
00:37:09 Do you know how many people that'll be?
00:37:12 That'll be a lot.
00:37:14 Do you know where people will be when it happens?
00:37:18 Everywhere.
00:37:20 Somebody was in the driver's seat and suddenly they're not.
00:37:24 A pilot might be flying a plane and suddenly he's not.
00:37:29 You want to talk about destruction that is the result of the church being snatched up
00:37:33 out of the earth.
00:37:37 We weren't appointed to wrath.
00:37:39 See that's the wrath that is the result of the select few believing in the Lord and the
00:37:46 select few rejecting Him.
00:37:48 And if you've rejected Him, then unfortunately you are going to have to face whatever is
00:37:53 the result of the church being caught up.
00:37:59 So if your Uber driver just suddenly disappears, caught up, the dead in Christ will rise.
00:38:16 Whoever is alive and remains will be changed and we'll all be caught up.
00:38:22 We're not in the earth anymore.
00:38:25 That is going to result, ladies and gentlemen, in some destruction.
00:38:32 Anybody ever seen the Avengers movies?
00:38:36 And if you recall Infinity War after Thanos snapped and half of life disappeared and all
00:38:43 of a sudden cars are crashing, helicopters are—why?
00:38:46 They're not here anymore.
00:38:49 Now that was a negative context.
00:38:52 Of course ours is positive.
00:38:53 We'll be caught up to be with the Lord, but the result will be the same.
00:38:56 Aren't you glad you won't be here for that?
00:39:02 Okay.
00:39:06 Now make our way back to Revelation 3.
00:39:09 I think we can get the rest of this in.
00:39:11 Look at 3 verse 4.
00:39:17 Revelation 3, 4.
00:39:18 We're going to read verses 4 and 5.
00:39:20 Okay, look at this.
00:39:21 All right, what did he just say?
00:39:23 You will not know what hour or you will not know the hour I come upon you.
00:39:26 Verse 4, he says, "You have a few names even in Sardis," watch this, "who haven't defiled
00:39:31 their garments."
00:39:32 What does that mean?
00:39:33 Their righteousness remains intact because our righteousness is likened to white clean
00:39:38 robes.
00:39:40 So their garments haven't been defiled.
00:39:42 They have not begun to stray away to the point of departing the faith.
00:39:48 They're remaining faithful.
00:39:50 So their garments haven't been defiled.
00:39:51 And they shall walk with me in white, that's the righteousness, for they're worthy.
00:39:56 He who overcomes, there it is again, shall what?
00:39:59 Shall be clothed in white garments.
00:40:01 That's the righteousness or our robes of righteousness.
00:40:04 Look at what it says next.
00:40:05 And I will not what?
00:40:07 Blot out his name from the book of life, but I'll confess his name before my Father and
00:40:11 before his angels.
00:40:14 Did you see that in verse 5?
00:40:16 He says, "I will not what?
00:40:17 I will not blot out.
00:40:19 I will not blot out his name from the book of life.
00:40:21 I will not blot out his name.
00:40:24 I will not blot out his name," which means his name was in the book of life.
00:40:29 For names to be blotted out, names have to be in.
00:40:31 All right, take this journey with me quickly in Scripture regarding the book of life, because
00:40:38 we've all heard about the Lamb's book of life.
00:40:41 And we know names are written in the Lamb's book of life.
00:40:43 I mean, we know this.
00:40:44 Daniel 12, 1 says, "For those whose names are written in the book."
00:40:49 Luke chapter 10, verse 20, "Remember when the 70 came back rejoicing because the demons
00:40:54 were subject to them in the name of Jesus."
00:40:57 He said, "Don't rejoice for that.
00:40:59 Rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven."
00:41:02 Where in heaven are their names written?
00:41:04 In the book of life.
00:41:07 Paul even talks about two of his female ministry companions, Syntyche and Iodia.
00:41:13 He said, "Labor with them, for they helped me and they also helped Clement and all of
00:41:18 our fellow workers whose names are written," where?
00:41:21 "In the book of life."
00:41:24 Here's the question.
00:41:25 How and when did those names get in the book of life?
00:41:30 How did my name get in the book of life?
00:41:32 How did your name get in the book of life?
00:41:34 When did our names get in the book of life?
00:41:37 Now, once again, look at what Jesus says here.
00:41:40 According to the church, the dead church, the church of Sardis, he says, "He who overcomes,
00:41:45 I'm not going to blot his name out.
00:41:47 I'm not going to erase his name," which means that his name is in there already.
00:41:53 Okay.
00:41:55 We've had this theory that when we get born again, a recording angel then writes our name
00:41:59 in the book.
00:42:01 It sounds like that would make sense to me, but is that the case?
00:42:05 All right, let's look.
00:42:07 Go to Revelation 20.
00:42:10 Look at verse 11.
00:42:13 Now here is what's called the great white throne judgment.
00:42:17 Ladies and gentlemen, we will not be there.
00:42:22 The great white throne judgment are those who partake in the second resurrection.
00:42:28 Don't forget, ladies and gentlemen, you and I are first resurrection, first class.
00:42:37 The martyrs, they're flying coach.
00:42:40 Now they're going to get there.
00:42:42 How many of you know coach is a blessing when coach is a blessing?
00:42:47 But I've shared this with all of you before.
00:42:49 I asked you this question before and the majority of you raised your hands.
00:42:52 I asked you, have you at least once in your life flown first class?
00:42:56 Have at least one time you've been upgraded?
00:42:59 Maybe surprisingly, maybe it was the favor of the Lord.
00:43:02 Maybe someone blessed you, but you previously had been flying coach and then you flew first,
00:43:06 first class.
00:43:07 And after you flew first class, you went back to coach and your life was over.
00:43:14 The worst thing that could have happened is that you got one little taste of it.
00:43:19 Well, well, we, the Ecclesia, we are, we are group A.
00:43:29 With a first part of the first resurrection.
00:43:30 The martyrs during the tribulation are the second part of the first resurrection.
00:43:34 But all of us together will reign with Christ, rule the nations and judge the nations.
00:43:40 Oh, but those who are part of the second resurrection.
00:43:46 Look at verse 11 of Revelation 20.
00:43:49 Then I saw a great white throne and him who sat on it from whose face the earth and the
00:43:54 heaven fled away and there was found no place for them.
00:43:57 And I saw the dead small and great standing before God and books, plural, were opened
00:44:04 and another book was opened, which is the what?
00:44:08 The book of life and the dead were judged according to the works by the things which
00:44:13 were written in the other books that weren't the book of life.
00:44:17 The book of life is the registry of names.
00:44:20 The other books are the recorded deeds.
00:44:24 Now this will be for those who are not martyrs during the tribulation.
00:44:33 This is specifically for them.
00:44:35 Look at what the rest of it says.
00:44:37 It says the sea gave up the dead who were in it.
00:44:40 Why does the sea have to give up the dead separate than death and hell?
00:44:44 Because some folk died at sea.
00:44:47 And when they died at sea, their bodies are where?
00:44:50 Nobody.
00:44:51 They didn't have a funeral.
00:44:54 Or maybe there was a memorial service for them, but their bodies weren't retrieved.
00:44:59 Bodies are at the bottom of the sea.
00:45:02 So the sea is going to do what?
00:45:04 Give up the dead who were in it.
00:45:06 Then death in Hades.
00:45:07 Mind you, Satan's already been destroyed.
00:45:09 The Bible says the last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
00:45:12 Here's death's destruction right here.
00:45:14 Death in Hades delivered up the dead who were in them and they were judged each one according
00:45:18 to his works.
00:45:20 Watch this.
00:45:21 Then death in Hades are cast into the lake of fire and brimstone.
00:45:24 This is the second death.
00:45:26 See he who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death.
00:45:29 Look at verse 15, "And anyone not found written where?
00:45:33 And the Lamb's book of life is cast into what?
00:45:36 The lake of fire."
00:45:38 So at the great white throne judgment, there are going to be some who get in because their
00:45:43 names are written and there will be some who don't make it and they're cast into the lake
00:45:48 of fire.
00:45:49 Now, once again, that's not the church, nor is it the martyrs.
00:45:56 We're a part of the first resurrection.
00:45:57 That's done.
00:45:58 It's been told.
00:45:59 Watch this.
00:46:00 Thousand-year millennial reign.
00:46:02 And then comes this great white throne judgment for everybody else who's a part of the second
00:46:07 resurrection.
00:46:08 Some of them are in, some of them are out.
00:46:10 Their bodies are not glorified like ours are.
00:46:12 They're resurrected, but they're not glorified.
00:46:16 And how do we know this?
00:46:17 Because don't you think that in a perfect world there would be no need for healing?
00:46:22 And yet, when the devil and death and hell are done, in New Jerusalem there's a tree
00:46:27 with leaves for the healing of the nations.
00:46:30 Why would any nation need to be healed and there's no more devil, no more death, and
00:46:34 no more hell?
00:46:37 It wouldn't be those of us who participated in the first resurrection.
00:46:39 Our bodies are like the body of Christ, like His resurrected body.
00:46:43 Oh, but these right here in the second resurrection, unfortunately, their resurrected bodies will
00:46:49 not be like our resurrected bodies.
00:46:52 Meaning what?
00:46:53 They can't die, but they can still feel some of the uncomfortable nuances of life.
00:47:02 How do we know this?
00:47:03 Well, remember, Jesus said, "The one you should fear is the one who can destroy both body
00:47:10 and soul in hellfire."
00:47:14 Can you imagine this, saints?
00:47:16 You have a body that can't be destroyed, but you can feel pain.
00:47:24 Everyone tormented in the—see, this is what we haven't paid attention to.
00:47:28 If you go to hell now, you go to Hades.
00:47:31 Your body goes to the earth, your spirit goes to Hades.
00:47:35 But the lake of fire, that's not for spirits.
00:47:38 That's for bodies.
00:47:40 The lake of fire will be filled with resurrected bodies that can't die but feel every pain
00:47:46 of the lake of fire.
00:47:47 That should be enough to make you run after Jesus.
00:47:56 And like Dad used to always say, "You don't want to believe it?
00:47:59 No problem."
00:48:00 I'd rather believe this wholeheartedly, get to the end, and nothing happen, than not believe
00:48:08 it at all now, get to the end, and find out it was the truth.
00:48:14 Okay, look.
00:48:18 So if their names aren't found in the book of life, they're in the lake of fire, which
00:48:21 means what?
00:48:22 Are these people whose names were blotted out?
00:48:25 Okay, let's keep going.
00:48:28 Let me get all of this.
00:48:32 Look at Revelation 13, chapter 13.
00:48:42 Now this for the longest has been messing me up, but I believe the Holy Spirit gave
00:48:48 me the illumination last night.
00:48:53 I've been searching for an answer to this for the longest, couldn't find it.
00:48:56 But I believe that the Holy Spirit showed me the answer.
00:49:01 He showed me the explanation.
00:49:04 Listen.
00:49:06 Now we see that there are names that are, names that are what?
00:49:10 Names that are blotted out, which means the name was already in there, which begs the
00:49:14 question, is it that when we accept Jesus, our names get written in?
00:49:22 Or is it that when we reject Jesus, our names get blotted out?
00:49:27 Meaning what?
00:49:28 Because God sees the end from the beginning and God would not have it that anyone perish,
00:49:32 all the names are in the book.
00:49:37 And by a person's rejection of the Savior, their name gets blotted out.
00:49:42 Okay, but wait, that logic makes sense to me, except I'm about to read two scriptures
00:49:50 that mess all of that up, which for the longest have confused me until I believe less than
00:49:56 12 hours ago.
00:49:57 Look at this, Revelation 13, 7, "It was granted to him to make war with the saints."
00:50:03 Whoever the him is, he ain't good, because he's making war with the saints.
00:50:08 Now if you read the whole chapter here, you know that it's the Antichrist.
00:50:11 Okay, "He's granted to him to make war over the saints and to overcome them, and authority
00:50:17 was given to him, the Antichrist, over every tribe, tongue, and nation, and all who dwell
00:50:21 on the earth will worship him, the Antichrist, whose names have not been written in the book
00:50:27 of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."
00:50:32 This is saying their names are never written.
00:50:35 Wait for it, it gets more complicated.
00:50:37 Look at chapter 17, verse 8.
00:50:44 Chapter 17, verse 8, which begins in a very similar way, it begins with the beast, who
00:50:50 we know is not good.
00:50:53 So what does it say in verse 8?
00:50:54 "The beast that you saw was and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and
00:50:59 go to perdition, and those who dwell on the earth, they'll be in awe of him.
00:51:03 They will marvel, whose names are what?
00:51:07 Not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world.
00:51:10 When they see the beast that was and is not and yet is."
00:51:13 Notice that God is who was and is and is to come.
00:51:19 Notice that the beast is what?
00:51:22 Was, is not, and yet is.
00:51:24 He can't be God.
00:51:27 Okay, so according to Revelation 17, 8 and Revelation 13, 8, it appears that there are
00:51:33 some who before the foundations of the earth were laid and before the Lamb of God was slain,
00:51:38 their names were not written, which means if their names were never written, their names
00:51:42 could never be blotted out.
00:51:45 Pastors confused right now.
00:51:46 Now let me unconfuse myself.
00:51:51 Go to Exodus.
00:51:52 You'll see what I'm talking about here, and I believe it's going to make all the sense
00:51:55 in the world.
00:51:57 Look at Exodus 32.
00:51:58 Y'all going to let me finish this, right?
00:52:02 I got to finish it.
00:52:08 Exodus 32, look at verse 32 in Exodus 32.
00:52:15 This is Moses talking.
00:52:18 Listen to what Moses says, and this is before the church.
00:52:22 Moses says, "Yet now, if you will forgive their sin."
00:52:28 We know the sin of Israel, the sins of Israel.
00:52:33 What does Moses say?
00:52:34 "Yet now, if you will forgive their sin, but if not, I pray."
00:52:38 He says, "Blot me out of your book which you've been written, or which has been written."
00:52:43 Moses said, "Blot my name out of the book that's written."
00:52:45 That means Moses knows his name is written.
00:52:49 Then look at what God says in response.
00:52:51 The Lord said to Moses, "No, this ain't on you.
00:52:55 Whoever has sinned against me, I'm going to blot him out of my book."
00:53:00 Which means whoever has sinned against him, their names are in the book for their names
00:53:04 to be blotted out.
00:53:06 Yet I just read in Revelation that some have not had their names written before the foundations
00:53:10 of the earth were laid.
00:53:13 Let me show you two more things, and I'll bring the clarity to you that I believe the
00:53:16 Holy Spirit showed me.
00:53:20 Look at Psalm 69, 28.
00:53:22 Normally I like to read about 10 verses here, but for the sake of time, I'm just going to
00:53:27 read one verse, and this verse is clear.
00:53:30 Watch this.
00:53:31 This verse is crystal clear that unrighteous names and righteous names are written together.
00:53:38 You'll see it right here.
00:53:40 Look at Psalm 69.
00:53:41 Are you there?
00:53:42 Okay, now look at the 28th verse.
00:53:45 Let me know when you have it.
00:53:48 And talking about the unrighteous, listen to what David says.
00:53:51 He says, "Let them be blotted out of the book of the living and not be written with the
00:53:55 righteous."
00:53:58 So for them to be blotted out of the book of the living, which upon doing some study,
00:54:02 this is synonymous with the book of life.
00:54:05 After doing some study and realizing, okay, this book mentioned is the same as the book
00:54:11 we read about in the New Testament.
00:54:14 And David is saying what?
00:54:15 He's saying, "Lord, let them not be written with me.
00:54:21 Let them be blotted out of the book and not be written with the righteous."
00:54:26 So then it sounds to me, based on what David says, based on what Jesus said to the church
00:54:31 at Sardis, it sounds like all names are written and your rejection—watch this—it's not
00:54:40 your acceptance of Jesus that gets your name written, it's your acceptance of Jesus that
00:54:47 keeps your name in the book.
00:54:50 It's your rejection of Jesus.
00:54:53 It's you not overcoming and departing the faith that gets your name blotted out.
00:54:58 Now that makes sense to me.
00:55:00 So all we have to do now is address Revelation 13, 8 and Revelation 17, 8.
00:55:06 And it came to me last night.
00:55:08 And here's why these names have never been written before the foundations of the earth
00:55:15 were laid.
00:55:17 Because these names in Revelation are only names of individuals that lived during the
00:55:21 tribulation.
00:55:23 That's the first thing to observe.
00:55:26 This is not pre-tribulation.
00:55:27 This is not the age of the church.
00:55:29 This is only the seven-year tribulation.
00:55:33 Those names in Revelation 13, 8 that were never written.
00:55:36 Those names in Revelation 17, 8 that were never written in the book are those who were
00:55:41 never going to repent during the tribulation, who were never going to believe on Jesus during
00:55:45 the tribulation, who from the beginning were going to believe on the beast and the Antichrist.
00:55:50 Now how is it that God could legally do this?
00:55:53 Here's why I believe that He could legally do it.
00:55:57 Because when you're God, it's not your fault, you're awesome.
00:56:03 You're God.
00:56:04 And so, what comes with being God?
00:56:07 Now this may not fly with some and I understand, but right now this is the only explanation
00:56:10 I got for you.
00:56:11 And we'll end here.
00:56:14 When you're God, you are omniscient.
00:56:18 You know everything all at once.
00:56:21 You can't help it, you're God.
00:56:23 But watch this.
00:56:25 Not only are you omniscient, you have foreknowledge.
00:56:30 That means not only do you know everything happening at one time, you know everything
00:56:34 that will happen.
00:56:36 And not only do you know everything that will happen, you know everything that will happen
00:56:40 at one time.
00:56:42 You know everything that will happen at the same time.
00:56:45 It might be impressive if one had omniscience and one had foreknowledge, but when you're
00:56:50 God you got both.
00:56:53 Is it possible because of the tribulation period, because of that period only, not the
00:56:59 rest of history, the tribulation period only, is it possible that based on the foreknowledge
00:57:05 of God, based on his foreknowledge, knowing what?
00:57:10 Knowing because of his foreknowledge who will not receive him during that period only when
00:57:16 the church is out of here, that their names would not be written in the book because of
00:57:24 the decision God knows they've already made before they've made it?
00:57:29 Now some might say, "I don't know if I can go with that.
00:57:32 That still might be a violation of free will."
00:57:35 But is it?
00:57:37 Is it a violation of free will?
00:57:38 Watch this.
00:57:39 The Bible talks about this in the book of Romans.
00:57:42 It says some vessels have been prepared as vessels of honor and some have been prepared
00:57:46 for vessels of destruction.
00:57:50 Now I could be wrong and I'll stand corrected, but I find no other explanation for it.
00:57:54 It sounds to me because we're talking about a specific period only, we're not talking
00:57:59 about Old Testament, we're not talking about Israel, we're not talking about the age of
00:58:03 the church.
00:58:04 The church is out of here now.
00:58:05 We're only talking about this seven-year period and really we're talking about the second
00:58:10 half of it, the final three and a half years when the beast arises and the Antichrist really,
00:58:15 really makes himself known and presents his mark in his number 666.
00:58:20 I'm talking about during that period only there will be a group of people that say,
00:58:24 "I'm with you."
00:58:29 Could God in his foreknowledge consider their names not written based on that decision?
00:58:36 Now watch this.
00:58:37 Oh my goodness, that they made in his time because he has no tomorrow.
00:58:46 Otherwise the mirror is real foggy right now.
00:58:52 Okay, I know I'm going along, but let me just finish these last two scriptures.
00:59:00 Notice also that in Revelation chapter 3, notice that verse 6, the end of verse 5 says
00:59:09 what?
00:59:10 It says, "I'll confess his name before my father."
00:59:13 And before who?
00:59:15 And before his angels.
00:59:17 Okay, that sounds a lot like a scripture that I've read before.
00:59:23 That scripture being what?
00:59:24 That scripture being Matthew 10, 32 which reads, and 33 which reads, "Therefore whoever
00:59:29 confesses me before men, I'm going to confess that man or that him before my father.
00:59:36 But if you deny me before men, well, I'll also deny before my father by speaking to
00:59:43 the ones who what?
00:59:45 By speaking to the ones who have not overcome."
00:59:48 He's telling them, "He who overcomes, here's your end result.
00:59:51 He who does not overcome, here's your end result.
00:59:54 If you don't overcome, you can be hurt by the lake of fire.
00:59:59 You are positioned, but if you do overcome, the lake of fire can't touch you.
01:00:05 If you don't stray from Christ, if you don't depart Christ, the lake of fire cannot hurt
01:00:09 you."
01:00:11 The last thing he says what?
01:00:14 Verse 6, Revelation 3, "He who has an ear, let him what?
01:00:19 Let him hear.
01:00:20 Let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
01:00:23 Let us not ever forget, ladies and gentlemen, in the New Testament, he who has ears to hear
01:00:29 is the church.
01:00:32 Let him who hears is the church.
01:00:34 Always remember, let him who hears, he who has ears to hear.
01:00:39 That is referring to who?
01:00:41 The church.
01:00:42 Father, we thank you for your word.
01:00:43 It's life and truth.
01:00:44 It will not, it cannot return to you void.
01:00:46 It will accomplish what it set out to do.
01:00:48 It will prosper where it's sent.
01:00:50 I thank you that the seed of the word has gone forth.
01:00:54 It's been planted into the hearts of the people.
