00:00 We're here today to really celebrate the work that the schools have done for us and provided artwork.
00:04 That's all about really helping us engage with the schools, getting them involved and feeling a part of the railway
00:09 and being able to really do something exciting with them and that's all part of our wider sustainability strategy.
00:14 So our strategy is all about leaving that lasting legacy piece, not just during construction but also during operation once the
00:20 traffic and highway upgrade is finished and helping engage with the schools and getting them really engaged with the railway and what we do.
00:26 That's part of our piece around trying to get more young people involved and thinking about how they can get engaged with the railway for work going forward.
00:33 Also the artwork really helps drive up an improved station, so really trying to look at how can we improve the communities that we work in and spaces and places.
00:42 And having that artwork today really makes the station just look a lot better and will provide a lot of interest for the passengers that use the service.
00:48 So now we've got our new strategy in place, we're really looking at what opportunities we can deliver, whether that's environmental or social value type work.
00:57 What we're going to look at is all of the stations along our route and assess whether we can add lots of benefits and improvements there.
01:03 And that can include artwork just to make it a better place to be or whether it's make each other step free access and just that better environment altogether for people,
01:10 no matter what background they're from, just making it a safer place to be.
01:13 Yeah, we're doing a lot more work at Batley station to provide them step free access here.
01:18 We're doing lifts, we're providing a footbridge, providing a seating and just a general upgrade to the station just to make it a much better area to be.
01:27 Just to say it's fantastic really to be here and see how excited the school children are to see their artwork up, you know, on the big side of the wall.
01:34 So it's just a brilliant example of how we can really make a difference for children in the local area.
