00:00 Hey, maids! In this video, I'm going to be doing another tutorial,
00:02 and this is the Katy Perry "Dark Horse" music video inspired makeup tutorial,
00:06 and I love this song. I just had to do it, and it's got a very Egyptian style,
00:10 and it's very dramatic, so it's very me, so I had to do it.
00:12 I love the song, I love the video, and I love the makeup in the video as well.
00:16 I've been listening to it before doing this video.
00:17 I'm sorry, guys, for not uploading a video in, like, almost two weeks.
00:20 So, in the next two to three weeks, I will have a Monday video,
00:26 which is my normal scheduled upload date,
00:28 but I will also have a Friday bonus video for you guys.
00:30 So, you're going to have two videos every week in the next few weeks,
00:33 so look out for that, and it's going to be a lot of fun videos.
00:36 And other than that, enjoy the tutorial, darlings!
00:39 Using my Anastasia Brow Pro palette, I'm just going to be filling in my eyebrows
00:42 using the shade in "Ebony." I'm using the lightest shade from that duo.
00:45 And on the scene that I'm replicating this out of, she has black hair,
00:48 so I'm going to draw on quite thick and dark eyebrows.
00:52 And then I'm going to be using my OCC Skin Concealer in "Y1,"
00:55 and apply that right underneath the brow to define that and to highlight it.
01:00 And this is going to clean that brow up.
01:04 And I'm also going to apply that all over the lid as a base for the eyeshadow.
01:07 It's a really pale concealer, so that's why I'm going to apply that as a base,
01:11 because that's going to make the shadow really grab onto the lid.
01:14 And, of course, blend this in.
01:23 Now, the first eyeshadow I'm taking is EmuE's shade 18, which is a lilac,
01:26 and I'm just applying that into the crease.
01:28 And I'm using my MAC 217 to do this.
01:34 I just got a MAC 217, like, a week ago.
01:38 I'm quite excited to use it, because this is my first MAC legit 217.
01:44 Rush!
01:46 Now for the lids, I'm applying L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in "Sahara Treasure,"
01:49 which is a pale gold. And this is going to be the base color for the glitter.
01:52 And I'm kind of etching out my eyeliner shape on the edges as well.
01:57 See where I'm going to go.
01:59 Now with E.L.F.'s Brightening Eye Color Quad in "Punk Funk,"
02:02 I'm just going to be applying the bright purple shade right onto the outer corner of the lids.
02:08 I'm just packing that onto the lid for a bright, opaque finish.
02:12 And, again, I'm sort of etching out where I want my eyeliner to go.
02:15 Now I'm going to do the eyeliner.
02:17 First, I'm just going to draw a thick, winged liner look on the top lash line.
02:22 This is, like, really complicated.
02:24 You want to go all the way out with a swing.
02:27 And you want to etch out the crease.
02:32 You want to go thicker from the outer corner of the crease
02:36 and gradually go thinner from the inner corner.
02:39 And you want to do that for the rest of your eye.
02:42 So, just keep going.
02:45 And you want to go all the way out with a swing.
02:48 And you want to go thinner from the outer corner of the crease
02:52 and gradually go thinner into the inner corner.
02:56 This is the hardest part, getting it even.
03:00 So, just keep looking back at a mirror from far away.
03:05 And just keep working on it.
03:08 Now that the top eyeliner is done, we're going to move on to the glitter.
03:11 And I'm just going to apply that onto the first half of the lid.
03:15 On some parts of the eye, there seems to be a warmer glitter.
03:19 So, in between the transition between the purple and the gold,
03:22 I'm just applying a coppery shade.
03:24 And this shade is called Retro Chic.
03:26 I love these glitter liners.
03:28 Now I'm taking L.A.'s Splash Splashproof Sealer Eyeshadow,
03:32 a sealer and base.
03:34 I'm just going to apply that onto the outer corner where the purple is.
03:36 And then I'm going to be applying this Klairs glitter over the top
03:40 just with a cotton bud.
03:42 I'm going to clean the liner up with the L'Oreal liner.
03:47 And I'm going back in with my concealer to define that wing.
03:53 And bring it down.
03:57 Apply Sahara Treasure Eyeshadow right into the inner corner of the eye.
04:08 And do the bottom liner.
04:10 You first want to extend that top liner downwards,
04:13 creating that Egyptian feel.
04:15 And create a double inner corner liner look.
04:20 And then line the lower lash line.
04:22 Do not apply liquid liner onto your waterline.
04:27 It will hurt. A lot.
04:30 Make sure you taper out the edges so it looks sharp.
04:32 Now, the right eye looks a little bit different from the left eye
04:35 because it's got more curvy lines on it, making it look more Egyptian.
04:38 So I'm just going to do that.
04:40 So it's a line tapering downwards on the centre of the eye.
04:44 And do a mini spiral next to that.
04:46 Now I'm just applying Miss Manga Mascara to my lashes.
04:52 This is from L'Oreal as well.
04:54 And Katie had really natural lashes on,
04:59 so I'm applying I'm Emo's lashes in NTR07.
05:04 And these are actually brown and wispy,
05:06 so they look super natural and they're so pretty.
05:08 And it's not going to be overwhelming the rest of the look,
05:11 because this look is pretty intense anyway.
05:14 And that's the eyes done.
05:16 Now moving on to the face, I'm applying
05:18 MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NC30 all over my face.
05:22 I just realised that this is not my shade of foundation right now
05:29 because I've faked tanned.
05:30 Whatever, I'm just going to darken it with bronzer.
05:32 Oh, and big news guys, I am going to be part of the Skins YouTube channel.
05:35 I'm going to be like one of the hosts, presenter,
05:38 faces of the Skins YouTube channel.
05:40 And Skins used to be a UK teen-based drama.
05:46 It's over now, but they're going to be continuing on the YouTube channel
05:50 and doing a lot of cool stuff there.
05:52 And what I'm going to be doing is talking about teen issues,
05:55 being gay, going to uni, opening up.
05:58 And I'm going to be translating that onto an avant-garde artsy makeup look.
06:01 And the first video is already up.
06:03 Please show some support.
06:04 Subscribe to the Skins YouTube channel if you want to.
06:06 I'm going to be there every Friday for a new Skin Slap video.
06:10 And yeah, I'm so excited about it.
06:12 Woo!
06:13 But I did really work hard on it, so I hope you like it.
06:16 I'm just applying a little bit of concealer now onto my under eyes.
06:20 And this is the Sansan Concealer Age Defense in number three.
06:24 I'm going to be bronzing up my skin using Vivo Baked Bronze in Bronze.
06:29 [no audio]
06:34 I'm going to be contouring with El Mascar Disobey just into the cheekbones.
06:39 [no audio]
06:43 And for blush, I'm applying Sherwell Blush in Sexy Bright.
06:46 And I'm using the Real Techniques Blush Brush.
06:48 I use just this-- the bronzer, blusher, and contour, darling.
06:52 And for the lips, I'm applying MAC Satin Lipstick in Rebel,
06:56 which is one of my faves.
06:57 [no audio]
07:03 Now I'm just going to be plopping on a black wig from Yves.
07:08 And yeah, the wig's a little bit different.
07:10 But this is the final look.
07:11 I hope you like it.
07:12 I will be leaving a link to the skins video down below,
07:15 and I will be also leaving a link for the Katy Perry "Dark Horses" music video,
07:18 which I love.
