This orientally flavored novelty piece was recorded by an instrumental ensemble that recorded only one single disc in 1921. Apparently it was set up for this specific occasion. Information about personnel could not be retrieved. After completing this video, I found that Pekin Peeks actually were large boxes with peep holes used for street amusement for passers-by in 19th century Beijing.
