Carl Jackson from Louisville, Mississippi, started at the age of 13 by accompanying his father and his uncle on the banjo in a bluegrass band, and then started touring with Jim and Jesse and during that time, at the age of 18, made his first solo album "Bluegrass festival" for the indipendent Prize label. In 1972 he joined Glen Campbell's band, and Campbell produced his second album "Banjo player" which opens with the worldwide famous "Duellin' banjos" from the OST of the movie "Deliverance".
