JJ Light (real name Jim Stallings) is a member of the Sir Douglas Quintet. Jim Stallings was already a fairly well-known performer in Los Angeles when Bob Markley, collaborating with the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, came up with the idea of a folk project built to some extent on traditional Indian rhythms and melodies. Jim, by virtue of his origin (Navajo Indian), was the best fit and, having received the pseudonym JJ Light, got down to business. The support group was more than solid - guitarist Gary Rowles, who worked with Flo & Eddie, Blue Mountain Eagle and other famous bands, Ron Morgan, who played in Love, keyboardist Larry Knechtel, who collaborated with Simon & Garfunkel , "Bread", "The Beach Boys", "The Monkees", "Mamas & The Papas" and even with Elvis himself, two strong drummers - Jim Gordon and Earl Palmer. In 1970, the Germans from Jeronimo recorded a cover on the theme of the same name "Heya". In 2007, the album was re-released by Sunbeam Records with the addition of bonus material from the musician's unreleased second album.
