00:00 I think this is one of the main areas we need to step up as an industry.
00:04 When we look at where the world is, some of the challenges we've got as a community, as a planet,
00:10 you know, I think it's beholden on us as an industry to step up and use our creativity,
00:14 our storytelling, the amazing reach we've got with our brands, the amazing cultural impact we can have
00:22 to not only be a force for growth, but also be a force for good.
00:25 Now PepsiCo has got very, very bold commitments. So by 2030, reducing 50% of our virgin plastic use.
00:32 By 2025, our commitment is to design 100% of our packaging to be recyclable, reusable,
00:39 biodegradable, compostable. So I think it's about really keeping a real-time pulse on our
00:45 consumer behavior, on understanding what's a fad versus a trend, working out which consumer
00:52 behaviors are really sticking, monitoring performance really, really closely, and pivoting
00:59 resource as quickly as possible to what I would call the tailwinds in a category. So that could
01:04 be a consumer trend, it could be a channel. So I think one thing some female leaders have in common
01:11 is this underrating of themselves. It's not a problem to be humble, but it is a problem
01:18 if that gap between your own perception and others' perception of you stops you putting
01:25 forward yourself for things, stops you putting forward others, things stops you taking risks.
01:29 And I think one of the things that certainly many female leaders experience is they don't have
01:34 sponsors. And the difference between sponsorship and mentorship is a sponsor really pulls you
01:41 forward, gives you the opportunity, whatever the opportunity you're seeking. Emotion and
01:46 empathy is what unlocks magic. It often unlocks creativity and it certainly unlocks potential
01:52 in others and diversity. So I think actually some of our leadership language really needs to change.
01:58 So soft skills is definitely one of those. The magic of data is when we bring human empathy
02:04 and understanding and insight to it and creativity to it. So I think as an industry, we've got to
02:09 think really carefully about our talent strategy and make sure that we're really future-proofing
02:14 our talent for the task ahead.
