Incredible footage shows a freediver exploring the infamous shipwrecks and underwater caves of Hawaii. Adam Stern, an Australian free diving record holder travelled to Oahu, Hawaii, USA, in mid-December 2021. The 33-year-old from New South Wales visited the caves of Sharks Cove on the north shore of Oahu and many of Oahu's notorious wrecks. Adam excitedly booked a flight to Hawaii after many long months stuck at home due to Covid-19 travel restrictions. The videos show Adam touring a YO-257 Navy oiler that sunk in 1989, a Chinese trading vessel that sunk in 1999 called "Sea Tiger", a 175ft minesweeper sunk in 1986 called the Mahi Wreck and a US landing ship that was sunk in 1998. He said: “I can't even tell you how bloody good it feels to be traveling again! “It’s been amazing to be shown such epic places by so many legends.” Adam was inspired to visit the Aloha state after seeing other members of the freediving community share their epic experiences online. He said: “I have seen photos of the Hawaiian lava tubes and caves for years. “I was pumped when we got a chance to dive them! “The wrecks are stunning - they are nice and deep, and there's so much life on them all! “The caves at Shark Cove are just epic…SO epic! “It's such a cracking spot!”
