Rejected man pours drink over boxer girl who batters him in response
A spurned reveller who poured his drink over a girl after she rejected his advances suffered an embarrassing bout of instant karma - after she turned out to be a Muay Thai boxer.

Chainarong Mareejan, 35, tried to clink his glass with Pareploy Saeaia, 25, then asked for her phone number while they were eating at a street restaurant following a night of partying in Bangkok, Thailand, in the early hours of Sunday morning February 6.

Pareploy rejected his advances and CCTV footage shows how he responded by casually walking over to her table and emptying a pint of beer all over her.

Chainarong was evidently unaware that Pareploy had been taking part in notoriously tough Muay Thai fights since she was 13 - winning dozens of professional national competitions.

The former Thai boxer furiously leapt from her seat and yelled: 'Fight me if you're so tough!'

Realising his grave error, Chainarong began to back away and swiftly left the restaurant, heading for his moped.

But Pareploy refused to let the thug get away scot free and followed him out of the establishment, berating him before launching a volley of kicks at his legs and body.
Her friends, knowing exactly what Pareploy was capable of, piled out of the restaurant and on the street to hold her back - but not before the former Thai boxing champ cracked Chainarong with a right hand.

Footage from the street shows the embarrassed thug sheepishly walking off to his bike while Pareploy continued to berate him as she was pulled away by her friends.

Footage of the incident emerged and Chainarong was sacked by his employer, the five star Swissotel - while police became involved and fined both of them.

Pareploy and Chainarong had to apologise to each other at the local police station and they both paid a 1,000 baht fine (22.58 GBP).

The man was fined 500 baht for pouring his beer on the girl and 500 baht for affray. The female boxer was charged 500 baht for assault and 500 for affray.

Pareploy said: 'I was angry because he assaulted me by pouring his drink on my head. Nobody has the right to humiliate me, or anybody else, like that. I was defending myself. But then I lost control of my emotions.'

She went on to tell Thai PBS that she encourages women to get involved in self-defence, and said she has turned her attention from fighting to coaching other women.

'I think self-defence is important for women,' Pareploy said. 'Although we women may not be physically stronger than men, at least we have self-defence skills. When we do encounter such situations, at least it can help protect us, especially when we encounter criminals.'

Chainarong meanwhile was sacked from his job at the prestigious hotel in the Ratchada area of the city. He apologised for the incident.

He said: 'I should not have done that to the girl. It caused the confrontation so I'm sorry for that. I regret what has happened.'
