Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on October 25 felicitated the awardees of the 67th National Film Awards at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi. Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur was also present at the event. ‘Chhichhore’ won the Best Hindi Film award, the award was received by Director Nitesh Tiwari and Producer Sajid Nadiadwala. ‘The Tashkent Files’ won the best dialogue writer in the Best Screenplay category. Singer B Praak won the Best Male Playback Singer for the song ‘Teri Mitti’ from the film ‘Kesari’. Actor Pallavi Joshi won the Best Supporting Actor for ‘The Tashkent Files’. Actor Kangana Ranaut won the National Award for Best Actress for the film ‘Manikarnika- The Queen of Jhansi’ and ‘Panga’. Actors Dhanush and Manoj Bajpayee received the Best Actor award for ‘Asuran’ and ‘Bhonsle’ respectively.
