School Fee Or No Readmission-Row: Odisha DEO Says Students Cannot Be Barred

Students cannot be debarred from schools over non-payment of school fee. Bolangir District Education Officer (DEO) Dhruba Charan Behera clarified the same on Monday. The DEO informed that the schools cannot strike off students’ names over non-payment of the school fees. This clarification came after allegations against a school in Titlagarh surfaced. The school allegedly threatened to stop readmission of students who fail to pay the requisite fee.
