The protest site at Ghazipur witnessed high drama as the farmers refused to vacate the site on orders of the Uttar Pradesh government. The showdown escalated when Bharatiya Kisan Union leader, Rakesh Tikait broke down and announced a hunger strike. His tears became the elixir to revive a thinning protest. Soon, hundreds of followers gathered outside Rakesh Tikait's house in UP's Sisauli, chanting slogans in his support.
