This duo of friends thought it would be fun to try a food item known for its extreme spice content. They took their first bit and one of them was immediately overcome by great discomfort. He hyperventilated and struggled to cope with the heat in the food. He also rubbed his eye with his hand, which caused a burning sensation due to the spice.

00:00We've heard about, forever, we've heard about Carolina Reapers, they're like the granddaddy
00:05of all peppers, they're supposed to be some of the hottest things you can even eat.
00:09Isn't it man-made?
00:10Isn't that one man-made?
00:11Yeah, it was selectively bred to be the hottest pepper in the world.
00:14Oh, I hate people.
00:15Well, we're not going to directly eat a Carolina Reaper pepper, I mean, maybe one day, if enough
00:21people ask for it, which, ask for it, comment about it, let us know.
00:25For a limited time only, Buffalo Wild Wings has their Blazing Flavor Carolina Reaper.
00:31I don't know how bad it's going to be, I was driving with this in my car and I was just
00:35like, whoa!
00:36How much spicy can you typically handle?
00:38Well, when I was younger I couldn't at all, but as soon as I went on my mission, I had
00:43garden jalapenos and habaneros.
00:46I ate two jalapenos in one bite and I was miserable.
00:49I did a habanero in one bite, and so, I've tested myself, I've pushed myself a little
00:53bit and I can handle spicy a little bit.
00:55You can handle spicy, like a little bit of spicy.
00:56Yeah, so I can handle it to a degree.
00:58I've tried their Blazing Flavor, without this, just their Blazing.
01:03It was really hot and it was bad, and I was just trying to push myself, it was like, man
01:07versus food!
01:08All of a sudden I'm like...
01:09I didn't ever eat spicy food, and then I went to Mexico, and so, obviously, I ate a ton
01:14of spicy food.
01:16And so, I feel like I, I'm not like amazing, but I feel like I can get by probably more
01:21than average, at least.
01:23So, there's 10 wings here, we'll see if we each can eat five, like, the goal is to survive.
01:28Yeah.
01:29And however far we get, we'll do that.
01:30If Cody can't finish, I'll keep eating.
01:32I don't know.
01:33If I can eat five, I'm done.
01:35I'm all done.
01:36Because quantity!
01:37Eating a bunch of quantity, Cody can do that!
01:39Since I have no clue what to expect here, I've gone as if this is the hottest thing
01:42in the universe, so I've got milk, I got ketchup with spoons.
01:47Spoon ketchup!
01:48It's actually cold out here, I bet by the time we've had two, I need to take this jacket
01:53off, so.
01:54I think we can find out three things.
01:55One, how hot are these, obviously.
01:57Yeah, clearly.
01:58Two, what of these things will work the best, or if anything at all, does it affect your
02:02actual body temperature?
02:03Yeah, that'll be, that'll be interesting.
02:07So I'm shivering right now because I'm both scared and cold.
02:10You ready to take a look?
02:11Yeah.
02:12That looks like Satan.
02:13Look at it, it's so dark red, it's like terrifying.
02:21It's like that chemical spicy.
02:23Our first spicy, wow, you got a big one there.
02:26Oh jeez, nope, I'm not doing that.
02:28Nope, here, you can have that one.
02:29I don't want the big boy!
02:30Here, we'll split it, we'll split it in half, we'll get five on each side.
02:32One, two, here, you have one big one, there's two little ones.
02:36There we go.
02:37We have to eat the first one without anything.
02:38Yeah, I think we get, no sauce, no ketchup, no ranch.
02:41This is gonna be so funny if it's not even that bad.
02:43I feel like it's going to be, but.
02:44The blazing one was bad, it was bad.
02:46I'm just gonna do this just as a primer.
02:49I'm shivering because of cold and fear!
02:52Okay, you ready?
02:53Cheers, mate.
02:54Alright.
02:58Oh, that's delicious, and very hot.
03:02It's hot.
03:03How do you feel it on my nose?
03:09How do you feel it on my nose?
03:10That is very, that is really, really hot.
03:12I'm not trying to be a tough guy, like it's really, really hot, but I'm definitely not
03:15at this level.
03:20You burnt your eyes, are you kidding me?
03:24We used a fork.
03:25Oh, my eyes!
03:28Do not touch your eyes.
03:31Yeah, it's like burning hot, it's burning, burning hot, but it's like, that's wild.
03:48You okay?
03:49Don't cough, because it makes it really bad.
03:53I'm definitely, like, feeling it.
03:55That is pretty human.
03:59Like, I'm not gonna lie, like, it is way too spicy for me, I would never order these, but
04:05whatever this is, here.
04:07Oh, don't cough.
04:17Do you need some milk?
04:18I'm trying!
04:20Pain is good.
04:21This is good, it actually is good, but it is like pain.
04:23It's like pain sauce.
04:24Wait till you have to...
04:25Are my eyes watering?
04:26A little bit.
04:27No.
04:28Wait till you have to get rid of it.
04:31Okay, I'm actually super proud of myself.
04:34I did not think I'd be able to handle this well.
04:39I'm drooling, no, not drooling.
04:41Is this legit?
04:42Is this legit?
04:43I'm struggling, because, like, my throat is swelling up.
04:48The garden jalapenos were worse than this, because I was, like, drooling profusely.
04:51Well, you were also eating the seeds, too.
04:53Do you need to barf?
04:55No, it just hurts.
04:57I might be underselling it.
04:59Like, it's really hot.
05:00It's hot.
05:01When I say hot, I don't mean this.
05:05You know what, I ate all five.
05:07Cheers.
05:08How many do you think you can go where it'd be a struggle for you?
05:11I mean, it's already really hot.
05:13I think I hit the peak, though.
05:16It was, like, hot all the way up.
05:18Oh, I'm crying.
05:19Do you see my tears?
05:21Okay, I don't know if the camera's picking this up.
05:23There's full-on snot, full-on tears.
05:25Am I snotting?
05:27See, this is when it starts to affect me, is afterward.
05:38I don't know if Dallin is just putting this on for the camera.
05:40No, no, no.
05:42Like, it's really hot.
05:45Don't get me wrong.
05:46It's really, really hot.
05:47It was not out of character for him, though.
05:52This one's big.
05:53The sooner you eat it, the sooner it goes away.
05:59So, personally, I did not think I would get through that as easily.
06:02It's really hot now.
06:03Like, it's really getting to me now.
06:07But the thing that I didn't expect was to get through it without really having to...
06:15My head is hot.
06:16Like, I can feel it.
06:18But my body's cold, so I'm just like...
06:20Just keep it in your mouth. Don't swallow it.
06:22Just keep it in your mouth.
06:24I got it out of my pants.
06:26I do not recommend eating these hot wings with Dallin.
06:29It is a disgusting experience.
06:31Cody, it hurts.
06:33This is a way better video than I thought it would be.
06:35Because I thought I was going to be, like, exactly like this.
06:40And I'm not trying to, like, be a tough guy.
06:42I'm not trying to show off that I can eat spicy stuff.
06:45My takeaway from this is that I'm actually better at handling spicy stuff than I thought I was.
06:49Yeah, you're doing pretty good.
06:50I didn't realize I would be this good at it.
06:52I've always been kind of shy.
06:54Like, if it was, like, a scale of 1 to 100 on, like, spicy,
06:58I'd probably order between 60 and 70, like, at the most.
07:02But I would never order, like, in the high range.
07:04But this shows me that maybe I could.
07:06Okay, it's not as bad here, but now here it's just...
07:10But talking still really burns.
07:11I actually feel great.
07:12And, honestly, that was really tasty.
07:14Which thing did you try that was the most helpful?
07:16Where's my... Did you eat my banana?
07:19Maybe the ketchup.
07:20The ketchup? Really?
07:21I don't know.
07:22It's all kind of a blur.
07:24Because you were just kind of like...
07:27To me, the milk was definitely the most helpful.
07:30So if you're going to do... The ranch was a close second, though.
07:32And if you're used to hot and spicy...
07:34Like, look at Cody.
07:36If you're used to hot and spicy...
07:37And I'm really... I swear to you, I'm not, like...
07:39I'm not, like, showing off.
07:40It's really, really hot.
07:43And I can handle kind of medium to hot.
07:45So if you're, like, even semi-familiar,
07:47you should be able to do this.
07:50Because it is tasty.
07:51That was a tasty week.
07:52In fact, I want more now.
07:54That's chipotle barbecue.
07:55These are, like, not spicy at all.
07:57They're dry.
07:58You wouldn't order this just to eat it.
08:00Like, this is, like... You order it because it's...
08:02Yeah, for a joke.
08:04This is, like, one of the places that you actually frequent quite a bit.
08:07No, not frequent.
08:09It's just... It's kind of, like, everywhere where it's, like,
08:11I know what I like, and I just order the same damn things.
08:13Yeah, yeah.
08:14Go check these out if you want to try some.
08:16I don't know how long they're going to be there.
08:18It's a limited time.
08:19And if you want to see how much of a wimp Dallin is,
08:21this is an easy way to try.
08:23Because you can just try them yourself.
08:25And if you go, that was really easy, then you're good.
08:27I thought I was better at this.
08:29The interesting thing about eating spicy things
08:31is that your body adapts.
08:33So every time you eat something super spicy,
08:35like, that's way too spicy for you,
08:37your body adapts.
08:39My body did it because I...
08:41No, I'm saying next time.
08:43So, like, your taste buds grow back.
08:45And here's the thing.
08:47I doubt that Buffalo Wild Wings,
08:49without some form of waiver, can go to the extreme.
08:51I'm sure that's really what it is.
08:53If they did anything more than this,
08:55they would have to like...
08:57Yeah, they can't do super extreme.
08:59Dallin needs to go lie down.
09:01Dallin's going to have explosive diarrhea now.
