The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) informed that Cyclone Nisarga has become severe cyclonic storm. Cyclone Nisarga is 175 kms from south-southwest of Mumbai. Cyclone Nisarga will cross Maharashtra coast between Harihareshwar & Daman, very close to Alibag between 1 pm to 4 pm. IMD also shared animation of movement of cyclone Nisarga from Goa. There will be high-tides and strong waves during the week in Mumbai. On June 3, a high tide of 4.26 metre occurred at 10:14 am, and another high tide of 4.08 metre will happen at 9:58 pm. Mumbai will experience two high tides of 4.57 metre and 4.12 metre at 11:04 am and 10:47 pm respectively on June 4. All emergency services, the police, fire brigade, NDRF and SDRF, Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Home Guards and others are fully geared for the anticipated fallout of the cyclone.
