00:15Justice Clutch finished another chapter in his adventure logbook.
00:20He received an urgent wire which caused him to hurry to the airport.
00:24Hop into the plane with Spinner and Paddlefoot and speedily start on a journey.
00:29Wow, now that Paddlefoot and I have caught our breath, what's the big rush Clutch?
00:41Sorry I couldn't take time to tell you Spinner, but here's the story.
00:45You've heard of the new Atomic Submarines?
00:47Yeah.
00:48Well, a new super secret Midget Atomic Submarine has been developed.
00:53It's only 25 feet long, but it can go all around the world underwater and needs a crew of only two men.
00:59Wow!
01:00That Midget Sub is now on the ocean bottom about 10 miles off the island of Transpor.
01:05It was being tested by the people who built it, and it either strayed off its course or was forced off.
01:12That's our mission, to race the sub and get it back to the American waters.
01:16Can it move at all?
01:18That's it Spinner, the crew radioed that its atomic engine has stopped.
01:22They tried everything, but couldn't restart it.
01:25They were ordered to abandon the sub, and that's the last thing that anyone has heard of them.
01:30Golly, and the sub was left right there?
01:33Official boats can't go near it.
01:35That's why we're going in Joe Papianniga's boat, the Guppy.
01:39Oh boy, we get to go on a boat.
01:42That sub has so many new secret devices, we've got to get there before any other country finds out about it.
01:53But as touch and company fly over the little fishing village,
01:58and land on the outskirts of town,
02:02two unfriendly looking figures are watching them.
02:06Right on time.
02:08Here's Joe Papiannigas now.
02:10Bludge, you got the message.
02:12You bet, Joe.
02:13It said urgent, so we didn't waste any time.
02:16You think I can drive the boat, Mr. Papiannigas?
02:18We'll see, Spinner, we'll see.
02:21I take you now to the Guppy.
02:25As touch and company travel toward the docks,
02:30a shiny black limousine with two men is headed toward them.
02:35I'd know that plane anywhere.
02:37It's clutch cargoes, all right.
02:38I saw it land.
02:40If cargoes on the job, it's going to be a lot tougher.
02:43Don't worry, Blackie, we'll take care of him.
02:46Maybe we'll do something about it right now.
02:50Joe Papiannigas went after them in his truck.
02:53I see them leave.
02:55Yeah, we ought to see them pretty soon.
02:57We'll make cargo wish he'd never come.
03:00I was told this submarine has an atomic engine
03:03and rocket devices that are so new,
03:06they are hardly even thought of yet.

03:09If we don't get to it first,
03:11some unfriendly country will throw it away

04:41It's got something to do with raising that sub.
04:44Someone's trying to stop us.
04:48Well, here she is, the good old guppy.
04:51Diving suits and food are already loaded.
04:53All we have to do is get started.
04:55Better get aboard right away.
04:57We can't waste a minute.
04:58Meanwhile, Shark and Blacky
05:00are also boarding a boat in a bay
05:03a few miles from the fishing village.
05:06Get a move on, Blacky.
05:07We've got work to do.
05:08The government of Transportania said
05:10they'd pay us plenty for that sub.
05:12Yeah, we're in the big leagues now, Shark.
05:27According to the map,
05:28the sub lies just outside the bay of Transpo Island.
05:31We'd better head right for the island, Clutch.
05:34We can hide the boat there.
05:36Clutch, look at that funny-looking thing.
05:39That's a water spot spinner.
05:41Looks like we're heading into a storm.
05:43I don't like the looks of it.
05:45Wind's getting very strong.
05:47If it hits us at the wrong angle, we would capsize.
05:49Better store our gear below.
05:51You'll have to take the wheel spinner.
05:54You think I can do it all right?
05:56You bet you can, Spinner.
05:58Hold her steady as she goes.
06:00We won't be long.
06:01Clutch and Joe work feverishly
06:03to move the equipment into the hatches.
06:07Help me, Pal, Clutch.
06:09This wheel is awful hard to pull.
06:20Suddenly, as fast as the storm hit,
06:23all is calm.
06:25Hooray, we made it.
06:27She's a good old boat.
06:29Land ahoy, straight ahead.
06:31That's Transport Island all right.
06:34It won't be long now.
06:36Look, Clutch.
06:37Somebody's following us.
06:42Full speed ahead, Joe.
06:44Pull around the island to all of your hiding places.
06:46Let's see if they follow.
06:48We'll give you all the speed that we have, Clutch.
06:51Come on, old girl.
06:53We're not catching up anymore.
06:55Yes, clearly.
06:57She's a good old girl.
06:59Joe steers the guppy past the island's tip
07:02and heads for a small inlet hidden in the rocks
07:05with the black boat following in the distance.
07:08There's a place right straight ahead between those rocks.
07:11Let's duck in there fast.
07:13We've got to shake that boat that's following us.
07:15Here we go.
07:21We're going to crash into the cliff.
07:25Will their boat be dashed to pieces on the rocks?

08:24pirates used these inlets for hiding, too.
08:26Hey, do you think maybe there's still
08:28some pirate gold hidden there?
08:30You never know, Spinner.
08:32Could be.
08:34Right now, I'm more interested in that black boat.
08:36There.
08:38We're in.
08:40Now I'll turn off the engines.
08:42We'll wait and see.
08:44We're completely hidden here.
08:46I'm going up on top of that rock and watch.
08:48Be careful, Clutch.
08:50Don't let them see you.
08:52They might have a gun.

08:56While Clutch makes his way to the top of the rock,
08:58Shark and Blackie
09:00are having a few troubles.
09:02They've given us the slip, Blackie.
09:04Get up here and help me look.
09:06Oh, I still feel sick
09:08from that storm we went through.
09:10I can't stand those big waves.
09:12Be quiet and help me look.
09:14If we don't get to that sub first,
09:16we've lost all that money.
09:18We've got to find them.
09:20Meanwhile, Clutch has reached the top of the rock
09:22and a black boat as it passes.
09:24They're looking for something.
09:26I'm sure it's us.
09:28I'd better get back.
09:30Here comes Clutch.
09:32What did you find out, my friend?
09:34Whoever it is is looking for us, all right.
09:36They've gone on around the island.
09:38We'll back out of here and head for the beach.
09:40We can hide our equipment until we're ready to use it.
09:42It's too dangerous to start looking
09:44for the sub now while that other boat follows us.
09:46So we'll leave our diving equipment
09:48and head back for the village.
09:50Anyway, if they see us,
09:52they'll think we've given up.
09:54Golly, Clutch, this is almost like cops and robbers.
09:56It's a bigger game than that, Spinner.
10:06They sure gave us the slip.
10:08If you'd paid more attention to business...
10:10I'm in shock. I felt bad.
10:12What are we going to do?
10:14Head for the mainland.
10:16I'll bet that's what they did.
10:18In this time, keep your eyes open.
10:20As soon as we get back,
10:22we'll get the plane.
10:24Maybe we can spot the submarine from the air.

10:28The higher you get, the deeper you can see in the water.

10:42so as to throw them off the set.

10:58I think I can see the sub.

11:02We'll land on the island
11:04and get our diving gear.

11:10A raft floating near the island.
11:12And there's a man on it.

12:28We'll be able to get to it in a hurry.

12:38Why did I turn him over?
12:40Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle.
12:42It's Swampy.
12:44Why, Clutch boy,
12:46fancy meeting you way out here.

12:50What are you doing on this raft?

12:54atomic sub that had to be abandoned.
12:56Heard you'd be here, so
12:58I started out in a boat.
13:00That storm capsized my boat,
13:02and this is how I ended up.
13:04Let's say, terrible thing waking a man
13:06out of a sound sleep like that.
13:08A lot of studies grow.
13:12Clutch gets off the diving gear
13:14which they had hidden on the island.
13:18Get on that frogman suit, Swampy.
13:20We've got a long way to go down.
13:22Golly, Clutch.
13:24Wish I could go with you.
13:26Not this time, Spinner. It's too dangerous.
13:28You and Paddlefoot be our lookout.
13:30Turn on this transistor radio
13:32and warn us if anyone else starts diving near us.
13:34Okay, Clutch. Anything to help.
13:38Look at Mr. Swampy.
13:40You don't look so much like a frogman, Swampy.
13:42You look more like a frog.
13:44Jump in, Juniper Roach Clutch.
13:46I feel like a sausage packed into a allocation.
13:50Don't say that, Mr. Swampy.
13:52You'll make Paddlefoot too hungry.
13:56Meanwhile, Joe Papionicus
13:58has started back to the island in the guppy,
14:00not realizing that Shark
14:02and Blacky, who are also
14:04hunting for the sunken midget sub,
14:06are heading for the island
14:08at full speed.
14:10Okay, Swampy. We'll wade in from here and swim out.
14:12Put your mouthpiece in
14:14and turn on your oxygen as soon as we get in the water.
14:16Turn on the transistor radio,
14:18Spinner, and listen for our signal
14:20when we get underwater.
14:22Okay, Clutch. Gotcha.
14:24As Clutch and Swampy enter the water,
14:26Blacky and Shark reach
14:28the end of the island, cut their motor,
14:30and silently glide along,
14:32watching every move.
14:34There's Cargo's plane on the beach.
14:36And there he goes with another guy
14:38into the surf.
14:40That midget sub can't be far offshore.
14:42What do we do?
14:44Get into those frogman suits and follow him.
14:46Oh, no!
14:48It's that mysterious boat.
14:50We've got to warn Clutch.
14:52Can you hear me, Swampy?
14:54Sure can, Clutch.
14:56What'll I think of next?
14:58Clutch, those men in the black boat came back.

15:04They've got blue guns and knives, and they're coming after you.

16:20Hey, but Shark, look out for those men, Swampy.
16:22They're armed and dangerous.
16:24Clutch, Clutch,
16:26I see one of them coming right at me.
16:28That's a giant seabird, Swampy.
16:30Keep away from him.
16:32Let me out of here, Clutch.
16:34You'll see what I see, a whale.
16:36That's no whale, Swampy.
16:38That's the midget sub.
16:40Break them crocodile charms.
16:42We found her.
16:44They found the sub, Battlefoot.
16:46Gee, I hope those men aren't there.

16:50swim toward the sub, not knowing
16:52that Shark and Blacky
16:54have already found her
16:56and are in ambush, waiting for them.
16:58Here they come, Blacky.
17:00Wait till they've passed over us.
17:02Aim at the small one. I'll take the big one.
17:04And don't miss.
17:06Okay, boss.
17:16We'll have to get a tow cable
17:18on the bow, Swampy.
17:20Swampy!
17:26Come on, Swampy, before they can reload.
17:34Mr. Papianicus,
17:36those men came back.
17:38They're at the sub, fighting Clutch and Swampy.

17:48I'll get that other one, Clutch.
17:54A giant sea bass is too much.
17:56Blacky departs in haste.

18:06Get his knife, Swampy.
18:08Get up in giraffes. I'm tired of finding.

18:12They captured the bad guys.

18:18We've got the tow line hitched to the bow of the sub.
18:20Go ahead, Joe.
18:22Slowly, the midget submarine
18:24is pulled away from her resting
18:26place on the ocean floor
18:28and starts off on the voyage
18:30to her home port,
18:32while two sadder and wiser
18:34bad men are forced to
18:36paddle back to the mainland on Swampy's
18:38raft.
18:40There she is, Mr. Hunt, safe and sound,
18:42including all her secrets.
