00:00:30I'm going to kill you, I'm going to kill you, I'm going to kill you, I'm going to kill you.
00:01:00Help!
00:01:31Get up there, get up there or I'll break every bone in your body.
00:01:37Get up there!
00:01:38You hear me?
00:01:40I don't think so much of him.
00:01:41You hurry up and do what I tell you.
00:01:43Oh, he couldn't even train animal crackers.
00:01:45You want to do what I tell you?
00:01:47Get up there!
00:01:48You never get that cat to do that trick.
00:01:50You don't handle him right.
00:01:52I don't, eh?
00:01:53Open up that chute.
00:01:55I'll show this baby who's boss.
00:01:57Open up that chute.
00:01:58I'll show this baby who's boss.
00:02:03Come on, come on, come on.
00:02:05Get in there.
00:02:21Don't you snarl at me or I'll knock every tooth out of your head.
00:02:28Get up, Sharky.
00:02:32If I ever catch you mistreating any of my animals again, you're through.
00:02:36Understand?
00:02:37The cat went for me, honest to death, Mr. Bailey.
00:02:39I had to teach him a lesson.
00:02:41That's no excuse.
00:02:42I do all my training without beating the animals up.
00:02:44You'll have to do the same.
00:02:46Well, I'm sorry.
00:02:47It won't happen again.
00:02:48I guess I had it coming.
00:02:51All right, let's forget it.
00:02:54Can you imagine that guy telling me how to train animals?
00:02:57I've forgotten.
00:02:58More than he'll ever know.
00:02:59Just the same.
00:03:00You'd like to have his job, wouldn't you?
00:03:03Come on.
00:03:07How'd you like to have that one, huh?
00:03:09We'd better get that pup out of here, Sonny.
00:03:11One of my lines might chew him up.
00:03:13I don't care.
00:03:14I don't care.
00:03:15I don't care.
00:03:16I don't care.
00:03:17I don't care.
00:03:18I don't care.
00:03:19I don't care.
00:03:20I don't care.
00:03:21I don't care.
00:03:22One of my lines might chew him up.
00:03:23Don't worry.
00:03:24He ain't afraid of lions, are you, Spot?
00:03:26He looks like a fighter.
00:03:28Maybe it's a good thing my lions are safe in their cages.
00:03:31Look out, he'll bite you.
00:03:37Gosh, you're a swell animal trainer, Mr. Beatty.
00:03:45You wait here.
00:03:49No, Dad.
00:03:50You stay here.
00:03:51I'll talk to Clyde.
00:03:52I'd better go.
00:03:53You'll be afraid to speak up.
00:03:55Please.
00:03:56But Ruth, you've known about this trip for a month.
00:03:59Why didn't you settle all this with Clyde before?
00:04:01Last week?
00:04:02Last night?
00:04:03I will now, Dad.
00:04:05I'm a little nervous.
00:04:06I just don't know how to begin.
00:04:08That's no problem.
00:04:09Come right out and state the facts.
00:04:11Tell him I'm sailing for the South Seas
00:04:13and that I refuse to leave you in port unless you're married.
00:04:17Oh, I couldn't do that.
00:04:19That would be just like asking him to marry me.
00:04:21That's what you're here for, isn't it?
00:04:24If it isn't, then I'll drop him the hint.
00:04:26I'm not scared of that lion tamer.
00:04:29I'm not afraid either, but Clyde's afraid of me.
00:04:33What?
00:04:34He's different from other men.
00:04:36He's spent his whole life with animals.
00:04:38He doesn't understand.
00:04:40Sure, seems that after two years of courting,
00:04:42he'd find out whether or not he wanted to marry you.
00:04:45He has.
00:04:46I know he wants to marry me.
00:04:48Really?
00:04:50Are you sure about him?
00:04:54Absolutely.
00:04:57Very well.
00:04:58Get along.
00:04:59You have just 15 minutes.
00:05:01And if he can't make up his mind on that time,
00:05:03tell him goodbye and we'll sail for the tropics.
00:05:07Good morning, Miss Robinson.
00:05:09Hello, Larry.
00:05:11This is my father.
00:05:12Father, this is Larry Henderson, publicity man
00:05:14for the whole circus, especially for you.
00:05:17Especially for Clyde.
00:05:18How do you do?
00:05:19I'm certainly delighted to meet you, Captain Robinson.
00:05:22I know your daughter well.
00:05:23She and Clyde Beatty are...
00:05:24I know all about that.
00:05:26Tell me, is this man Beatty afraid of...
00:05:29Afraid?
00:05:30Listen, Captain, Clyde Beatty isn't afraid of man,
00:05:32beast, nor devil.
00:05:34I think I'd better talk to that young man.
00:05:36Father, is Clyde in?
00:05:39Could I see him?
00:05:41Certainly.
00:05:42Why not?
00:05:43You can see Clyde at any time.
00:05:45Thank you to him.
00:05:51Hey, Clyde, your new lion is here.
00:05:53Good.
00:05:54I'll try him out right away.
00:05:55You better let him alone until he's had time to cool off.
00:05:58They're all bad at first.
00:05:59We might as well get acquainted now as any time.
00:06:01Can we watch the training, Mr. Beatty?
00:06:03All right.
00:06:04Be sure you hang on to the spot.
00:06:05I don't want to take any chances.
00:06:06Don't worry.
00:06:07I won't let him get at your lion.
00:06:09Well, Clyde, there's someone to see you.
00:06:17I'm glad to see you.
00:06:22No one has to tell me when three is a crowd.
00:06:25I hope you don't mind my bringing him in on you like this.
00:06:30Mine?
00:06:31Yes.
00:06:32I'm glad to see you.
00:06:34I hope you don't mind my bringing him in on you like this.
00:06:37Mine?
00:06:38No.
00:06:39Why should I?
00:06:41I thought maybe you were busy.
00:06:43I am awfully busy today.
00:06:45Just got a new lion.
00:06:47I was hoping I could see you alone for a few minutes.
00:06:55I really shouldn't leave.
00:06:57But something has come up that you should know about.
00:07:02What is it?
00:07:03Well, it's terribly important, Clyde.
00:07:05I...
00:07:06Open the door!
00:07:15What were you saying?
00:07:17It's too big to tell all at once here in front of these people.
00:07:22Can't we go outside?
00:07:25All right.
00:07:26But I'll have to keep an eye on the men.
00:07:28New lion, you know, can be ruined the first day.
00:07:31Clyde.
00:07:32We got him in a comfortable cage, but he ain't taking it any good.
00:07:36But Clyde.
00:07:38Just a minute, honey.
00:07:43You don't understand.
00:07:44I have to give Dad my answer.
00:07:46Hurry, Clyde.
00:07:47He'll tear himself to pieces.
00:07:48He's failing and he wants me to...
00:07:50All right, all right.
00:07:51Whatever you say.
00:07:52I've got to look after that cat.
00:08:01Now, won't you wait and see Clyde break in his new lion?
00:08:14No, thank you.
00:08:15Dad will be getting impatient.
00:08:17We're sailing today.
00:08:18Sailing?
00:08:19Where to?
00:08:20The South Seas.
00:08:21He's chartered to Professor Livingstone, an expedition.
00:08:23Oh, yeah.
00:08:24But you're not going along.
00:08:26I don't want to, but...
00:08:28that. Now I have no choice in the matter.
00:09:28I have no choice in the matter, I have no choice in the matter, I have no choice in
00:09:58the matter, I have no choice in the matter, I have no choice in the matter, I have no
00:10:28choice in the matter, I have no choice in the matter, I have no choice in the matter,
00:10:58I have no choice in the matter, I have no choice in the matter, I have no choice in
00:11:28the matter, I have no choice in the matter, I have no choice in the matter, I have no
00:11:58choice in the matter, I have no choice in the matter, I have no choice in the matter.
00:12:28He couldn't help it.
00:12:29I sort of stumbled myself a minute ago.
00:12:32It was a lot of hard work to train that lion for my new act.
00:12:35But he's worth it.
00:12:39Are you all right, Mr. Beatty?
00:12:40Well, I didn't hurt you, Eddie.
00:12:42Gosh, I was scared.
00:12:44You haven't got nothing on me.
00:12:45Thanks, Sonny.
00:12:46I sure needed that gun.
00:12:47Oh, if my dog had been here, you wouldn't have needed a gun or nothing.
00:12:59Why don't you two try and get along?
00:13:01We'll get along all right.
00:13:03You've got to let her know who's the boss from the start, or you're through.
00:13:06Looks to me like you're through already.
00:13:08Don't kid yourself.
00:13:10From now on, it's going to be smooth sailing.
00:13:12Sailing is right.
00:13:13Boy, she was plenty mad when she sailed out of here.
00:13:16She? What are you talking about?
00:13:19Ruth.
00:13:20Oh, is she gone?
00:13:22And how?
00:13:24I guess I was a little abrupt.
00:13:25But I'll see you tonight and patch things up.
00:13:28And you didn't know she was going with her father.
00:13:30What?
00:13:31They're sailing today.
00:13:33But she can't.
00:13:34But she is.
00:13:41Hey, Clyde!
00:13:45You better be careful!
00:13:46Remember, Ruth isn't a lion!
00:13:56Professor?
00:13:57What is this Caymo you're setting out to find?
00:14:00I believe the Caymo will prove to be the real cradle of civilization.
00:14:04Is it an island?
00:14:06Probably.
00:14:07Well, how will you know when you've found it?
00:14:10When I find an island bearing the fauna of both Africa and Asia,
00:14:14I'll know I'm pretty close.
00:14:17I'll know I'm pretty close.
00:14:20I'll know I'm pretty close.
00:14:22I'll know I'm pretty close.
00:14:26Fauna? What's fauna?
00:14:28Animals.
00:14:29Lions.
00:14:30Tigers.
00:14:32And cub reporters.
00:14:44All right, Ruth.
00:14:45We're sailing.
00:14:55Come along, Ruth.
00:15:26Where's Captain Robinson Schooner of the Marriott?
00:15:28Gone.
00:15:29Just shoved off to the South Seas.
00:15:48Boy, I'll be glad when this rehearsal's over.
00:15:50What are you worrying about?
00:15:52The closer I get to this mixed animal act,
00:15:54the more it gives me the willies.
00:15:56I'm not worried about it.
00:15:58I know you're not.
00:15:59And that's what's worrying me.
00:16:01Since Ruth ran out on you,
00:16:02you're taking too many chances.
00:16:04That's my business.
00:16:06Business?
00:16:07It's suicide in the first degree.
00:16:10You can't put lions, bears, tigers, and panthers all in the same cage.
00:16:14The big ones will eat the little ones,
00:16:16and those that don't get enough to eat will eat you.
00:16:18Clyde, you're the greatest animal trainer in the world.
00:16:21But don't tell me.
00:16:22Tell the world.
00:16:28You'll admit the act has swell publicity angles.
00:16:31Well, it's stupendous.
00:16:34Boy, I got the swellest idea for a poster.
00:16:37Listen.
00:16:38Tell that to the boss.
00:16:40The most vicious man-killers ever assembled under one roof
00:16:46will now be worked together in the big cage
00:16:52for the first time in any circus
00:16:56by the world's greatest animal trainer.
00:17:02For the first time in any circus
00:17:05by the world's greatest animal trainer,
00:17:10Mr. Clyde Beatty.
00:17:24Boss, I got a swell idea for the poster.
00:17:26It's colossal.
00:17:27Now, up here in this corner,
00:17:29we'll have ten lions coming out of the thick jungle.
00:17:31No, 30 lines.
00:17:32And over here...
00:17:33In just a minute, Henderson.
00:17:35Suppose we wait and see if Clyde's acting as good as he says.
00:17:39Here they come.
00:18:01Hey!
00:18:31Hey!
00:18:59Huh.
00:19:00Careful, little fellas.
00:19:02What I'm worried about is what's going to happen when the tigers get in there.
00:19:24What did I tell you?
00:19:30Huh?
00:20:00Hey!
00:20:31All right.
00:20:32Let the lions in.
00:20:37Hey.
00:20:38Come on.
00:20:39Get in.
00:20:40Come on.
00:20:41Come on.
00:20:42Just wait till Tommy gets in there.
00:20:44Yeah.
00:20:45All right.
00:20:46Come on out.
00:20:47Give me a coat and a vest, baby.
00:20:48Come on.
00:20:49Come on.
00:20:50Come on.
00:20:51Come on.
00:20:52Come on.
00:20:53Come on.
00:20:54Come on.
00:20:55Come on.
00:20:56Come on.
00:20:57Come on.
00:20:58Come on.
00:21:00Hey!
00:21:01Hey!
00:21:02Hey!
00:21:29Come on.
00:21:30Come on.
00:21:31OK.
00:21:32The factory's on the other side of the road.
00:21:33Go this way.
00:21:34OK.
00:21:35This way.
00:21:36
00:21:37Come on.
00:21:38Go.
00:21:39Go.
00:21:40Oh.
00:21:41Who are you?
00:21:42You a chicken?
00:21:43I'm a I'm a cow.
00:21:44Hey!
00:21:45Come here.
00:21:46Come here.
00:21:47Come here.
00:21:48Come on, I'll take you somewhere.
00:21:49Hey!
00:21:50I'm off.
00:21:51He's after Tommy.
00:21:52Go on.
00:21:53I'm trying to't take you.
00:21:54No.
00:21:55No!
00:21:56Go on already.
00:21:57I intended it.
00:21:58I don't know what I'm doing, but I've got to get out of here.
00:22:01I've got to get out of here.
00:22:02I've got to get out of here.
00:22:03I've got to get out of here.

00:23:01My ma, get in.
00:23:08Gracie!
00:23:10Tommy.
00:23:22Tommy.
00:23:23Nelly!
00:23:30That boy sure knows his stuff, and it's a good thing for him that he does.
00:23:59Well, how'd you like the show?
00:24:03It's marvelous, Brad, but I'm afraid you'll never be able to keep those two in the same ring.
00:24:08Don't worry, Mr. Maitland. By the time this season's over, they'll be kissing each other.
00:24:28Good work, Clyde. Great.
00:24:53Why, it's stupendous, colossal. Greatest act in the history of the show business.
00:24:56Clyde, you're a... Thanks.
00:25:00What's the matter with him?
00:25:02Don't worry. Ruth's been gone three months, and Clyde hasn't heard a word from her.
00:25:32Mm-hmm.
00:26:01Plenty of good timber, anyway.
00:26:03Timber?
00:26:04For spars, to repair the ship.
00:26:06From what I just saw, that'll take months.
00:26:09If only one of my carrier pigeons could get through to a settlement, some ship would pick us up.
00:26:13Hmph. I wouldn't count on pigeons.
00:26:16I tell you, Professor, we'll be here until we get the Mariar patched up and afloat.
00:26:20Or until we're all eaten by jungle beasts.
00:26:23Maybe. But let's get going. I'm worried about Ruth.
00:26:30You'll have him up and going in no time, Miss Ruth.
00:26:32I hope so.
00:26:35What happened to you, Slade?
00:26:36Nothing much, sir. I was lucky, but old Pat's dead.
00:26:40Killed?
00:26:43We were cutting brush. There was a roar, and a lion just tore him to pieces.
00:26:47Lion?
00:26:48The biggest one I ever saw.
00:26:50Rip Pat cleaned down the middle before he could wink.
00:26:53Are you sure it was a lion?
00:26:55I guess I know one when I see it.
00:26:59There he is now. What's that sound like to you?
00:27:20I don't know.
00:27:50Now I'm positive we're on the island of Caymore.
00:28:17There's no other place in the world where lions and tigers can be found in the same jungle.
00:28:21Think of the sensation this will cause in the scientific world.
00:28:24Yes. If they ever hear about it.
00:28:27Don't you think we could repair the wireless?
00:28:29There's nothing left to repair.
00:28:31Ruth, get me a pigeon. It's our only hope.
00:28:47While you're waiting on that fool bird, we'll all be eaten by these cats.
00:28:51Mr. Kirby, round up the crew. We're going to build a stockade.
00:28:56Aye, aye, sir.
00:28:58They're over half gone.
00:29:00Maybe this will be the lucky one.
00:29:08Goodbye, precious.
00:29:10If you see Clyde, tell him I love him.
00:29:18Please don't fail me.
00:29:36What have you got there?
00:29:48A message from Professor Livingston.
00:29:59Gentlemen, Livingston has found Caymore.
00:30:02I never thought he would.
00:30:04What does it say?
00:30:06It's from our consulate, Sula.
00:30:08He cables that he received a message by carrier pigeon from Professor Livingston
00:30:12notifying him that the expedition was shipwrecked upon the island of Caymore.
00:30:18It's been a great season, Clyde.
00:30:20In fact, we've had several great seasons.
00:30:22Yeah, but the public will expect an even bigger thrill next year.
00:30:25And I don't see how you're going to give it to them.
00:30:27You can figure that out for me.
00:30:29I'm going to the jungle for some wild animals.
00:30:31You mean shoot them?
00:30:32No, bring them back alive.
00:30:34Stupendous. But where are you going, Clyde?
00:30:37Oh, India for tigers, Africa for lions.
00:30:40Experts, all about Professor Livingston.
00:30:43Giant airship goes to rescue.
00:30:45Livingston shipwrecked in the South Sea.
00:30:47Read all about it. Paper?
00:30:49Hey, boy, let's have one.
00:31:11Do you suppose Ruth is still with them?
00:31:13Did you say anything about her?
00:31:15No, nothing.
00:31:19That's where I'm going.
00:31:21Where?
00:31:22Caymore.
00:31:23What an idea.
00:31:24Why didn't I think of it myself?
00:31:26It's colossal.
00:31:27Boy, what publicity.
00:31:28What are you talking about?
00:31:30Guess this.
00:31:31Clyde's going after Ruth.
00:31:32But we can kill two birds with one stone.
00:31:34Why, the place must be full of animals.
00:31:36Can't you see the head of the tiger?
00:31:38Can't you see the head of the tiger?
00:31:40Beatty, bring him home from Caymore.
00:31:42Claim evil animals from a primitive place.
00:31:44He takes them wild and trains them.
00:31:46Where's Caymore?
00:31:47Oh, who cares?
00:31:48It's full of lions, tigers, and the Lord knows what else.
00:31:50Every passenger on that airship
00:31:52will be front page news for the next six months.
00:31:54Maitland, you've got to get Clyde on that ship.
00:31:57And me too.
00:31:58But...
00:31:59Never mind the buts. Get me on that ship.
00:32:08Hey, captain.
00:32:09I sensed that smell for a while now.
00:32:11How's controls?
00:32:13They've been updated.
00:32:15Is man entering ship?
00:32:17ThatFather himself has confirmed it.
00:32:19What's the matter?
00:32:20I can sustain a cold winter's slungeness
00:32:21using my ship's controls.
00:32:23That's no good.
00:32:26Fishes aren't able to open their mouths or hatches.
00:32:28We've never seen fish there.
00:32:30How much longer is it going to go on like this?
00:32:33On my will notification it's been a while,
00:32:37And, uh, I've had many, and I'll escape.
00:32:40Hmm.
00:32:41You work in Mr. Beatty's act?
00:32:43Well, not exactly, but I'm always standing
00:32:45by in case anything happens.
00:32:47Beatty never makes a move without me.
00:32:49Why, I taught him everything he knows.
00:32:53There's that guy Sharky running off in the mouth again.
00:32:56I can't understand why you brought him along on this trip.
00:32:59Will you hold the other end of the rope
00:33:00while I'm taking a live tiger out of the trap?
00:33:03Or putting a stag lion into a cage?
00:33:06Who, me?
00:33:06Huh, not on your life.
00:33:08Well, that's why I'm taking Sharky along.
00:33:16Hey, X-ray, here you are, mister.
00:33:18All about the victory.
00:33:19Giant airship, headed forward Z.
00:33:23A wireless dispatch from the Victory
00:33:25reports that the dirigible already nearing its goal
00:33:27has encountered a low pressure area.
00:33:29This generally means hurricanes at this time of year.
00:33:32No alarm need be felt, reads the dispatch,
00:33:34because a ship is built to withstand
00:33:35any kind of weather.
00:33:37It is expected that ground crews will
00:33:38be landed by the special gear carried on the Victory,
00:33:40and the Livingston party contacted
00:33:42within the next 48 hours.
00:33:43I'm going to take this last pigeon just in case.
00:33:45How long do you expect to be gone this time?
00:33:47Oh, not much more than a week.
00:33:48The ship will be repaired before that.
00:33:51Then I'm going to have trouble.
00:33:54You mean the men?
00:33:57They've endured some terrible hardships.
00:33:59They're frightened by those wild animals.
00:34:02It'll be hard to hold them here if we can't go and take them.
00:34:05I can't go until I finish my explorations.
00:34:07I'm sure the cradle of civilization
00:34:09lies somewhere on this island.
00:34:12Don't you realize the importance of the discoveries
00:34:14I expect to make?
00:34:15Yes.
00:34:16But I also realize the seriousness of mutiny.
00:34:19Pretty soon, there won't be any of us left.
00:34:21And the professor talking of staying on
00:34:23until he finds that buried city.
00:34:24He can stay by himself.
00:34:27I'll be back as soon as possible.
00:34:28Good luck.
00:34:29Goodbye, Ruth.
00:34:30Goodbye.
00:34:36How much farther?
00:34:38Those hills.
00:34:39I want to make it tonight if I can.
00:34:43I hope that killer lion ain't following us.
00:34:47Sammy?
00:34:49I hope he is.
00:34:53Then let me go across first.
00:34:59I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:00I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:01I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:02I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:02I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:03I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:04I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:05I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:06I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:07I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:08I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:09I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:10I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:11I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:12I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:13I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:14I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:15I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:16I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:17I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:18I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:19I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:20I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:21I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:22I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:23I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:24I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:25I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:26I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:27I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:28I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:29I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:30I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:31I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:32I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:33I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:34I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:35I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:36I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:37I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:38I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:39I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:40I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:41I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:42I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:43I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:44I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:45I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:46I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:47I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:48I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:49I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:50I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:51I'm afraid I can't.
00:35:53I knowня.
00:36:01I don't think this idea is so hard after all.
00:36:04Oh, there's nothing to worry about.
00:36:06That's merely your personal opinion.
00:36:13For goodness sake, let's had some music.
00:36:18Something's happened to the radio.
00:36:19The lightning struck it!
00:36:20The radio's gone dead, sir.
00:36:21Check your antenna.
00:36:22We're being blown off our course, sir.
00:36:23Dump the rest to the ballast.
00:36:24Captain, the ship's breaking up.
00:36:25Take the parachute!
00:36:27We're lasting for three minutes.
00:36:40Captain, the ship's breaking up.
00:36:47Take the other sections and report back to me.
00:37:02We're falling.
00:37:21Hang on, mister. It's all about the big disaster.
00:37:25We've learned nothing regarding the disappearance of the dirigible victim.
00:37:29Have you seen the late editions?
00:37:31It says here the Naval Board of Inquiry holds that due to their construction,
00:37:35any part of the newer airships will tend to free balloon until its gas cells are entirely deflated.
00:37:41And that means?
00:37:42If the victory broke up as did the Akron,
00:37:44then we can hope that some free ballooning section may still be in the air.
00:37:49Of course, dinner.
00:37:51We started eating before we ever went into the banquet room.
00:37:54They served delicious appetizers of caviar.
00:37:58I passed up the soup and the fish and a lot of other things
00:38:02because I wanted to save my appetite for the roast turkey.
00:38:05You never saw such a turkey in all your life.
00:38:09It was stuffed with chestnuts and served with cranberry sauce,
00:38:14sweet potatoes, plenty of giblet gravy.
00:38:18And for a side dish, they had barbecued ham with raisin sauce.
00:38:25Pardon me if I don't stay for dessert,
00:38:27but after ten days of crackers, I'm sure that blackberry pie will give me a stomach ache.
00:38:38How did we have blackberry pie?
00:38:40You didn't have to guess.
00:38:42You've told us about that banquet at least twenty times.
00:38:46Look up there!
00:38:50The wind!
00:38:52Why is it island?
00:38:54It's a scary story. It's all covered with jungle.
00:38:57At the rate we're traveling, we'll be over the island in no time.
00:39:00Can't we bail out in parachutes?
00:39:02There aren't any. They were lost to the other part of the ship.
00:39:05Isn't there any way we can land?
00:39:07Well, we can let the gas out, but there's no way of controlling the ship.
00:39:11You mean we might crash?
00:39:14Well, anything is better than staying up here and starving to death.
00:39:18Let's take a chance.
00:39:24Let's go.
00:39:40The valve's broken. The gas is escaping too fast.
00:39:49We're heading straight for the island.
00:39:54We're bound to crash.
00:40:24Quiet!
00:40:42Quiet!
00:40:54Quiet!
00:41:06Larry!
00:41:07Are you all right, Clyde?
00:41:10I guess so.
00:41:13Gee, I'm glad.
00:41:15You're not hurt, are you?
00:41:17Me? Hurt by a little drop like that?
00:41:24Have you seen anything of the others?
00:41:26No. I wonder what happened to them.
00:41:28Sharky!
00:41:31Doctor!
00:41:32Hey, Howard! Where are you?
00:41:39We'd better start searching for them.
00:41:54Let's go.
00:41:56Let's go.
00:41:58Let's go.
00:42:23No use yelling anymore, Larry.
00:42:25Howard and the doctor.
00:42:28What do you think, Clyde?
00:42:30It might have been us.
00:42:32They weren't as lucky as we were.
00:42:35But I don't see anything of Sharky.
00:42:37It would suit me swell if we never saw that guy again.
00:42:40Well, Sharky's not such a bad fella.
00:42:43But we've got to find him if he's still alive.
00:42:58Oh, yeah.
00:43:29Don't kill me.
00:43:31Don't kill me. I'll go away.
00:43:33I won't touch your treasure.
00:43:35I swear.
00:43:36Treasure?
00:43:40Take it easy, old man.
00:43:42Nobody's going to hurt you.
00:43:46Water.
00:43:48Water.
00:43:52Water.
00:43:54Water.
00:43:57I can't breathe.
00:43:59All of it.
00:44:17You are not one of these ships' crew.
00:44:20Ships' crew?
00:44:21What do you mean?
00:44:23The ship that brought me here.
00:44:26They're down for stockade.
00:44:28We should go down there and tell Captain Robertson
00:44:32that I've found...
00:44:35The treasure?
00:44:37Yes.
00:44:39The treasure of Caymor.
00:44:42Where is it?
00:44:44It's here.
00:44:45The man that attacked me was guarded.
00:44:48He must be the only survivor
00:44:51of the last tribe of Caymor.
00:44:55But...
00:44:57Where...
00:44:58What's become of him?
00:45:00Where is he?
00:45:03In there.
00:45:08In the pit?
00:45:10With the crocodiles?
00:45:15But what am I to tell Captain Robertson?
00:45:17Where is the treasure?
00:45:20It's...
00:45:22Caymor.
00:45:53A coconut.
00:45:55Hey, what's the idea?
00:45:57Look out, here comes another one.
00:46:00Thanks, pal.
00:46:01You better have lunch with us sometime.
00:46:03Yeah, and bring your own coconut.
00:46:12That's service for you.
00:46:18Lunch is ready.
00:46:23Do you mind if I eat out on the veranda?
00:46:40Help, Clyde, help!
00:46:42Whoa, wait a minute, what's the hurry?
00:46:44Don't stop me, Clyde, there's a bear after me.
00:46:46Funny, he's running the other way.
00:46:48He is?
00:46:50Well...
00:47:03What was that?
00:47:05I ain't it.
00:47:07We had some of the circus, but they didn't sound like that.
00:47:10They weren't hungry then.
00:47:20Let's go.
00:47:39There sure are all sorts of wild animals around here.
00:47:41You should feel at home.
00:47:43I'd sure like to take some of them back alive.
00:47:46Say, if we're going to take ourselves back alive,
00:47:48we'd better find a way to get off this island.
00:47:56Look, Larry, a cartridge.
00:47:58See how bright it is?
00:47:59They couldn't have been here very long.
00:48:01That means there's somebody besides us on the island.
00:48:03Come on, let's look him up.
00:48:05How are we going to fight him in this jungle?
00:48:08You're a great animal trainer and all that, Clyde,
00:48:10but it takes an ex-Tripeze artist like me
00:48:12to know his way around this kind of country.
00:48:15What do you mean?
00:48:17See on the tree?
00:48:19I shall scale it and see what I shall see.
00:48:22See?
00:48:30Oh, boy, I see some huts with a high fence around them.
00:48:33Do you see any people?
00:48:35No, but I see smoke rising from one of the huts.
00:48:48Kick up the cook now.
00:48:50Oh, good.
00:48:52Did you hear anything in the captain's hut?
00:48:54Yeah, give us a lowdown.
00:48:55Kirby's telling him plenty.
00:48:57And the skipper ain't taking it laying down either.
00:49:00Kirby, do you mean to tell me that you,
00:49:03the first mate of my ship, are taking sides with the crew?
00:49:06I don't blame him for squawking, Captain.
00:49:09The ship was chartered by that explorer
00:49:11for a six-month cruise.
00:49:13And we've been on this island eight months.
00:49:15Well, we're not going to sail
00:49:17until Professor Livingston shows up.
00:49:19He was supposed to be back two weeks ago.
00:49:22But if you ask me, I don't think he'll ever show up.
00:49:25One of those jungle cats got him,
00:49:27just like they got Connors and Dixon and the rest.
00:49:30I'm not going to leave him on the island,
00:49:33and that's final.
00:49:39Either you're going to leave him on the island,
00:49:42or we're going to leave you.
00:49:45Now, you've got until tomorrow noon
00:49:47to make up your mind, and that's final,
00:49:49from myself and the crew.
00:50:02Come on, Nero.
00:50:03Come on.
00:50:04Come on, baby.
00:50:07Come on, Nero.
00:50:09Nero!
00:50:11Nero!
00:50:15Nero, come back here!
00:50:22Nero, you naughty boy!
00:50:24Come back here at once!
00:50:35Just you wait, Nero, when I get you!
00:50:41Nero?
00:50:42Nero?
00:51:03Sammy!
00:51:08Wait!
00:51:09No, a woman.
00:51:10Yeah.
00:51:39Try to hold him off a minute, Clyde.
00:52:00Clyde, Clyde, use this.
00:52:09Oh, Clyde.
00:52:16Ruth.
00:52:17Oh, Clyde.
00:52:22Oh, Ruth.
00:52:23Oh, Kaymore.
00:52:24And you, Larry.
00:52:26Pleasure meeting you here, and escorted by a lion.
00:52:30Escorted is right, especially by Sammy.
00:52:33Sammy?
00:52:34Who's he?
00:52:35That lion.
00:52:36He's the most ferocious one in the jungle.
00:52:37He's certainly a beauty.
00:52:38Isn't he, though?
00:52:39Such poise, such charm, such personality.
00:52:43If it hadn't been for you, Clyde, believe me,
00:52:46I'll never again object to your training animals.
00:52:49You mean you did object?
00:52:51Not at all.
00:52:52She just means she doesn't like it.
00:52:55But why, Ruth?
00:52:57Oh, Clyde, you were so wrapped up in your animals,
00:53:00you hardly had a thought for anything else.
00:53:03Even the day we sailed away when I came to see you.
00:53:06But, darling, I didn't realize then.
00:53:08You know, I, I...
00:53:10You'll pardon me if I, if I find a place to sit down.
00:53:13My knees are shivering.
00:53:15I guess I must have caught cold in them or something.
00:53:20I'm sure glad to find you safe and sound.
00:53:23Were you really worried about me, Clyde?
00:53:25I sure was.
00:53:26A minute of relief expedition worth an hour,
00:53:28I decided to come along.
00:53:30You gave up your axe just to come to me?
00:53:32Well, not exactly.
00:53:34You see, the circus season had just closed.
00:53:36There was nothing much to do.
00:53:38Clyde.
00:53:39Oh, of course.
00:53:40I could have started training some new cats.
00:53:43Then you did give up something to come to Caymore.
00:53:46Yes.
00:53:47I had planned on going to Africa for lions
00:53:49and to India for tigers.
00:53:51But you heard you could find both lions and tigers in Caymore.
00:53:54So you decided to kill two birds with one stone.
00:53:57That's right.
00:53:59But how did you know, Ruth?
00:54:03Ruth.
00:54:04Ruth.
00:54:05What's wrong?
00:54:07Lions, tigers.
00:54:08Tigers, lions.
00:54:09That's all you ever think of.
00:54:12I wish you'd never come here to save me.
00:54:14I wish I were dead.
00:54:21What's the matter with her?
00:54:23What a lover.
00:54:25Don Juan.
00:54:26Romeo.
00:54:29This is marvelous.
00:54:30What is it?
00:54:31Iguana.
00:54:32Iguana.
00:54:33Iguana.
00:54:35It's a native lizard.
00:54:40Have some more, Larry.
00:54:41I don't want to.
00:54:43You don't do any better than me.
00:54:45You don't know me.
00:54:46You don't know me.
00:54:47You don't know me.
00:54:48Oh, I don't know you.
00:54:49You don't know me.
00:54:50I don't know you.
00:54:51I don't know you.
00:54:52Oh, I know you.
00:54:53I know you.
00:54:54I know you.
00:54:55I know you.
00:54:57More Larry. No thanks. I'm afraid you'll fatten me up for Sammy don't
00:55:03like to like that people better than them when you better ask them I'm afraid if I
00:55:08ever met Sammy face to face I'd stutter don't tell me you're scared of him not
00:55:12much every time I think of that can I get an impediment my speech and in my legs
00:55:17to.
00:55:17The. Let me help you thank you but I get along without
00:55:27your help. What's the matter with you too. She just got to see him that's all don't
00:55:35tell me about
00:55:35a quarrel already all kind of past that up all right you know how to handle women.
00:55:40Tell me Captain.
00:55:47There's
00:55:47a word about Professor Livingston why don't you search for him I don't dare leave
00:55:51the crew why the Marriott is repaired and ready to sail the men are determined to
00:55:56leave tomorrow they're on the verge of
00:55:58a mutiny that's bad course I can't really blame them lions and tigers have killed
00:56:05over half and lately Sammy's been trying to enter the stockade why don't you kill
00:56:10him we can't get
00:56:10a shot at it and we haven't enough ammunition to hunt him down and why don't you
00:56:15catch it not a chance of that he's too smart have you dug any pit no that's what
00:56:22you need I'll show them in how we'll catch them the animals alive if you can do
00:56:26that maybe I can hold them in
00:56:27a long enough to find living.
00:56:40That's
00:56:56stockade can't be so very far from here and the ship to. Well
00:57:03if I'm ever going to get off this island I'd better get down and make friends with
00:57:07Captain Robinson and his crew I understand you men have given me until noon today
00:57:12to give you my answer right. Here it is I'm
00:57:19a master of the merry hour you'll say from this island when I give the word not
00:57:23before. I
00:57:31do the first man to price the board ship. You men have been panic stricken terrified
00:57:37by these jungle be. Now that Mr Brady has built traps for us there's no further
00:57:42cause for fear. He's trying to get in again.
00:57:49No it's
00:57:49a tiger I think he's in the pit. Don't shoot him Captain I want to take him back
00:57:55alive. To make a net we've
00:57:59a ship that's for loading cargo but that is just
00:58:02a thing. And
00:58:10I have to get him in the net what are you going to do with it you know I can't put
00:58:13a minute.
00:58:14There.
00:58:24Don't forget Kirby belongs to me.
00:58:33What's the big idea. I had to do this but I want to take our lives you want all
00:58:40right Kirby. The baby plans to take some wild animals back to a circus.
00:58:50When they had with
00:58:51a net. I've seen all the wild animals I want to be on. And I don't care
00:58:59for free.
00:59:10I. Don't know but now until I give
00:59:17a word. You're going to get back to the fact that. There's
00:59:32no use that's no way to act nobody like.
00:59:41You.
00:59:54That was
00:59:55a close call. Let that be
00:59:59a lesson. Baby slip that tiger into the cage like it was
01:00:06just. One or fifty of all the same today.
01:00:13With him here we'd be pretty safe from the cat. What do you mean say to going out
01:00:18to find living.
01:00:35Well
01:00:46well the lovebirds I always said Clyde had strange powers what did he do with you
01:00:52the hypnotic guy. Oh I don't mean
01:00:57a midget here I mean you. Have you forgiven him. I have not.
01:01:04I. Think I'm dead it looks like he's had
01:01:07a satisfactory talk with the crew. The all settled the men aren't enthusiastic about
01:01:13staying here but they'll do it I'll bet they really want to see Clyde work on some
01:01:17more animals when do we start right away let me think of the find the buried city
01:01:22of came or somewhere in the mouth and that's where we should search first I know
01:01:26the way to show me
01:01:27a map he had drawn in his diary.
01:01:57I. Think I'm.
01:02:11Going to have to make.
01:02:27A.

01:07:00And there's a mark.
01:07:01The cave.
01:07:02Buried city.
01:07:03Treasure.
01:07:04And Sharky's been there.
01:07:05He's seen Livingston.

01:07:07Right.
01:07:08We'll find the treasure.
01:07:09Have the men step lively, Mr. Kirby.
