This is the moment that a dangerous driver lost control of a stolen car and ploughed into a roundabout – sending the vehicle airborne.
Grant Hunter, 42, got behind the wheel despite having no licence or insurance and was spotted driving on Mill Lane in Hebburn on the evening of September 11 last year.
But when officers instructed him to pull over, Hunter instead hit the accelerator – tearing down residential streets in South Tyneside at excessive speed.
With police following closely behind, Hunter approached a roundabout in Jarrow but lost control, causing the car to flip in the air and come to an abrupt stop.
Hunter subsequently arrested and jailed.
