Aloo matar is a Punjabi dish from the Indian subcontinent which is made from potatoes and peas in a spiced creamy tomato-based sauce. It is a proper Dinner/Lunch Recipe and goes perfectly with Naan, Paratha.

Ingredients:
(Serves 4)
- 1/2 cup Cashew Nuts
- 1 Onion(diced)
- 3 Tomatoes(diced)
- 3 Garlic Cloves
- 1/2 inch Ginger
- 3-4 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Seeds Powder
- 1 cup Green Peas(soaked)
- 4 Potatoes(peeled & diced)
- 2 cups Water
- Salt
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder

Method:
1. Take cashew nuts in a bowl, and add diced onion, diced tomatoes, garlic cloves, ginger
2. Grind all of it together and keep it aside
3. Now, in a wok heat oil; add cumin seeds and grounded paste to it, and keep stirring
4. Once the oil starts releasing, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander seeds powder to the wok, and saute it for around 1 minute
5. Add fresh soaked green peas and diced potatoes to the wok, and mix it
6. Now, add water to the wok, along with salt, garam masala powder, and mix it
7. Cover the wok, and let potatoes and green peas cook on low flame
8. Once cooked, take it out in a serving bowl and serve it.
