Chinese Premier Li Keqiang made an inspection on Monday of a Samsung semiconductor factory located in Xian, the capital of China’s Shaanxi province.
According to Beijing, Li emphasized how vast the Chinese market is, welcoming global high-tech companies to continue expanding their investments in China.
With almost 15 billion U.S. dollars to be invested in the project, the Xian factory is Samsung's only foreign-based memory semiconductor production line.
Pundits say the visit is aimed at increasing cooperation with Korea as U.S. trade curbs are affecting Beijing's 'Made in China 2025' plans.
