This clip is from the 1944 film El Boassa which was an Egyptian version of Victor Hugo's Les Miserables set in 1940's Egypt rather than 19th century France. This dance segment takes place in a Night club. The dancers in this scene are seen often in golden era Egyptian films. The taller of the three went by the professional name of "Gina" and she was an Egyptian of Armenian heritage born in Alexandria. Gina was part of the Isaac Dickson dance troupe. The dancer in the middle is Gamalat Hassan who was one of Badia Masabni's more important dancers in the early 30s. It is mentioned in several arabic articles that Gamalat Hassan was one of Taheya Carioca's closest friends. Samia Gamal also appears in this film, not as a dancer but as a singer. That clip can be seen on this channel as well.
