AAP leader Kumar Vishwas: A day after the BJP decided to field actor-turned-politician Smriti Irani from the Gandhi bastion of Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, AAP candidate from the Lok Sabha constituency Kumar Vishwas said the region was fed up of actors.
"Amethi was already fed up of an actor (Rahul Gandhi) who used to come, wave hands and go, and now we have an actress as well," Kumar Vishwas said.
Exuding confidence in his candidature, the AAP leader said, "Ab Irani aaye, ya Pakistani aaye, ya Italian aaye, ya American aaye, Amethi ki janta nirney kar chuki hai."
'Sympathising' with Smriti Irani for being fielded against him and Rahul Gandhi, Vishwas stated, "I have my sympathies with Smriti ji, maybe some in the BJP are unfavorable towards her."
