3 die after falling off overcrowded Mumbai local train-NewsX

Overcrowding in local trains led to an accident in Mumbai this morning. 17 people fell off a running train between Bhandup and Nahur stations on the Central line. Three are confirmed dead, 14 others are injured. They have been admitted to the Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar. The victims were reportedly hanging out of train doors, and collided with a signal post. But the Chief Public Relations officer categorically stated, the post is positioned at the specified gap from the tracks, and blamed overcrowding for the accident.
