Argil War hero - Captain Saurabh Kalia - was indeed tortured to death as he was held a prisoner of war (PoW) along with few others by the Pakistani soldiers in 1999, a video that has emerged recently shows.

The footage of a Pakistan Army function shows the soldier, Naik Gule Khandan, claiming to have killed Capt Kalia and five of his platoon members as he shares details of the encounter.

Capt Kalia was killed just before the Kargil War broke out. Though the authenticity of the video could not be verified.

The video, posted on YouTube comes as yet another shameful example of how Pakistan not only betrayed India over the truth behind Capt Kalia's death, but has ever since been boasting of how they killed India's brave.

Capt Kalia and other soldiers were captured by Pakistani troops and tortured during the war that lasted from May to July in 1999. The 23-year-old from 4 Jat Regiment was the first Indian Army officer to observe and report the large scale intrusion by Pakistan Army into the Indian side of Line of Control (LoC) in Kargil sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
