A pro-khalistan event referendum 2020 seeking independence for Punjab will take place in U.K today. UK says it will not stop the event citing that its laws allow people to gather to raise their views peacefully. However India has come down heavily claiming that 'referendum 2020' is being backed by ISI elements. Reacting to the developments in UK, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh says that the developments won’t have any impact on the state. Meanwhile to counter the pro-khalistan event another event is being organised at Trafalgar Square under 'We Stand For India' as part of India’s Independence Day celebrations.
