One of the most anticipated Korean movies of this summer, "Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days" set a all-time opening day record in South Korea on Wednesday.
According to the Korean Film Commission, the fantasy-action film drew 1-point-2-4 million viewers on opening day, beating the record of 1-point-1-8 million set earlier this year by "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom."
This is the first time a Korean film has ever had an audience of a million people on its first day.
It's a sequel to a film released last December which was based on a webtoon.
This installment follows three angels of death... who guide a soul through the underworld... with the promise of reincarnation.
