Ingredients
1 cup Rice
4 tbsp oil
Few curry leaves
Water
2 onions finely chopped
4 slit green chilies
1 tsp chopped garlic.
1 tsp chopped ginger.
3 Tomato finely chopped
¼ tsp Turmeric / Haldi
1 tsp Red chili powder
Salt to Taste
Method :
1. Firstly, take 1 cup of rice in a bowl and wash the rice.
2. After washing the rice thoroughly, add 2 cups of water and cook it in the cooker up to 3 whistles.
3. Once whistles are done, allow it to cool down for 15 minutes.
4. Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat, oil should be moderately hot, add chopped garlic, chopped ginger, slit green chilies and saute it well
5. Next, add 2 sliced onions. Once the onions are sauteed well, add 3 chopped tomatoes.
6. Next, add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder and mix it well.
7. Lastly, add curry leaves. Masala mixture is ready now, Pour it in the boiled rice.
Tomato Rice is ready now! Serve it with raita of your choice.
