A quick, and simple, look into the pros and cons of different batteries used in Nerf modding.\r
\r
Terms:\r
- Voltage sag: Voltage sags are a short duration reduction in (rms) voltage which can be caused by a short circuit, overload or starting of electric motors. Torukmakto4 makes a good comparison: Voltage sag limits your motor current to LESS than would ideally flow if the battery was a perfect voltage source - imagine you are trying to inhale through a narrow straw. If the straw wasnt there, the air pressure entering your lungs would be higher and you would be able to breathe freely, but with the straw, the air is throttled.\r
- Output: Discharge rate and/or delivered amperage.\r
- mAh: Milliamp Hours. The life-span of a rechargeable battery. The higher the mAh, the longer the battery will last.\r
