The inter-Korean summit in April and North Korea-U.S. summit set for May could lead to a trilateral summit between Seoul, Washington and Pyongyang.
That’s according to President Moon Jae-in, who made the comments while chairing the second meeting of the Inter-Korean Summit preparation committee Wednesday morning.
The South Korean leader was highlighting the importance of the scheduled summits and the need to use this opportunity to fundamentally resolve the nuclear and peace issues on the Korean Peninsula.
This is the first time that the President has mentioned the possibility of a trilateral summit between South Korea, North Korea and the United States.
