Ingredients:-
For the Dough:-
250 gms. Refined Flour (Maida)
1 pinch of Salt
2 tbsp. Melted Ghee
Milk
Water
Orange Food Colouring
Green Food Colouring
Ghee for frying
For Stuffing:-
2 tbsp. Melted Ghee
2 tbsp. Corn Flour
Powdered Sugar
Method:-
- Make a dough of the dough ingredients and divide into 2 parts.
- Add orange and green food colouring respectively.
- Cover with a damp cloth for 15-20 minutes.
- Make small ball shapes and flatten with a rolling pin.
- Apply stuffing to the flattened sides as shown in the video.
- Roll both the coloured doughs together by applying stuffing as shown in the video.
- Keep aside for 10 minutes covered with a damp cloth.
- Cut into small pieces and keep aside for 5 minutes.
- Flatten the small pieces again with a rolling pin and cover with a damp cloth for 5-10 minutes.
- Heat Ghee in a kadhai and fry the chirotes until crispy.
- Sprinkle powdered sugar on it and serve.
Coloured Chirote is ready to eat!
