我国数天前迎来新学年，学校走过沉寂的年终假期，又再次热闹起来。
《透视大马》发现，尽管国内经济低迷、百货膨胀，国小家长个个束紧腰带、大砍家庭出游预算来应付家中小孩的开学开销，另一头的华小家长给孩子的教育砸钱时，却是一点也不手软。
记者本周就走访万达镇培才二校，发现每位学童光是开学消费就轻易超过500令吉，这还不算每月数百或上千令吉的交通费、补习费、才艺班学费等开销。
