Flying American Airlines this December? Your flight may not have a pilot yet. A scheduling error with the airline gave too many cockpit members time off for the holidays. American Airlines spokesperson Matt Miller told The New York Post, We are working diligently to address the issue and expect to avoid cancellations this holiday season. We have reserve pilots to help cover flying in December. The airline offered pilots 150 percent of their hourly pay to pick up the flight, but the Allied Pilots Association argues that violates its labor pact. This is a crisis right now, and in that crisis, they’ve gone solo. - Dennis Tajer, APA spokesperson (The Post)
