Doctor's in Chinese city of Nanchang earlier this week removed an eel which became stuck inside a man's abdomen.
According to local reports, the 50 centimetre Asian swamp eel was deliberately inserted into the man's anus. The patient in his 40s declined to explain further.
The man was in a stable condition in intensive care.
