Mariah Carey is no stranger to Las Vegas, and has a soft spot in her heart for the 50 killed and hundreds injured in the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival that has devastated Las Vegas.
The singer appeared via satellite on Good Morning Britain, and E Online reports that she was visibly shocked by the news of the shooting.
Mariah reportedly says, “Wow, that’s awful. Again, I pray for the victims and hope all these can stop as soon as possible… I’ve spent a lot of time in Vegas, and this type of thing happening anywhere is a huge tragedy… I continue to pray for the victims. I hope we have an end to this as soon as possible. It’s terrible because people are going out to listen to music. Really, they’re out for the night and something like this happens… It’s shocking.”
Mariah is not the only one sharing their disbelief. President Donald Trump, country star Jake Owen, Celine Dion and Brad Paisley also Tweeted their condolences for the horrific event.
