Ashley Smith, founder, and designer of Otherworld Apparel discusses her favorite NYC locations.

Whether you're headed to the Upper East Side or Brooklyn, these spots are the perfect things to do for a bold and beautiful New York outing.

Be the first of your friends to explore the Gagosian Gallery's latest collections. The reknown Chelsea gallery is currently hosting an exhibition by British-based artist Damien Hirst, who began sharing his work at the Gagosian since 1988. When you're done, swing by their impeccably-designed gift shop and explore their exclusive art and decor collectibles. Hurray, the exhibit ends on Dec 19, 2015.

With thirty-three locations throughout the city, Equinox sports clubs boast state of the art fitness equipment, day spa treatments, and classes that range from martial arts to barre. The Soho location, Ashley's favorite, features a juice bar, multiple lofted relaxation areas and a luxurious rooftop pool that overlooks Manhattan's iconic skyline.

Located near Brooklyn's Greenpoint and Williamsburg neighborhoods, Transmitter Park offers an expansive view of Manhattan's cityscape. With East River fishing access, a pedestrian bridge over the wetlands, and a nautical-themed playground with spray showers, the park offers an adventurous afternoon to tourists and New York natives alike.

Anyone who has walked through Chinatown is familiar with the abundance of footrub and massage locations advertised throughout the neighborhood. The area is filled with affordable spots like Renew Day Spa, a favorite of locals, offering one hour foot rubs for $22 each.

Whether you're enjoying a boat ride on the lake or a picnic on the great lawn, NYC's Central Park the ideal setting for any relaxing, New York weekend. If you're feeling adventurous, head over to the Wollman Ice Rink or Central Park Zoo and take advantage of all the family-friendly activities this gigantic public space has to offer.
