University of Texas removes multiple Confederate statues overnight

The University of Texas has become the latest institution to remove Confederate statues. Four statues that represented influential figures asscociated with the Confederate Army were taken down late Sunday night and early Monday morning. "Erected during the period of Jim Crow laws and segregation, the statues represent the subjugation of African Americans."
