Opioid painkillers found all around Prince’s house after his death

Opioid painkillers were found in several places in Prince’s Paisley Park home, according to court documents unsealed on Monday. The documents state that Dr. Michael Todd Schulenberg, who was with Prince days before his death, prescribed oxycodone to the singer. However, the prescription wasn’t under the artists name, but rather in his close friend’s Kirk Johnson. The documents suggest that Prince had an opioid addiction which lead to his death of an accidental overdose of opioid fentanyl, a drug 50 times more powerful than heroin. The investigation over how Prince received the fentanyl is still ongoing, but the documents suggest it was obtained illegally and not by prescriptions.
