Learn How To Make Gujiya, our Holi Special Recipe in Hindi by Swaad Anusaar With Abhilasha. Make this Indian sweet dish at your home for the festival of colours.
Ingredients:-
For the dough:-
1 Cup Refined Flour
Unsalted Butter/Ghee
For the filling:-
Butter
200 gms. Grated Khoya
Powdered Sugar
Dry fruits
Decicated Coconut
Method:-
The Dough:-
Take refined flour and unsalted butter in a bowl and mix these ingredients with water and knead a dough. Once the dough is ready cover it with a damp cloth and keep aside for 30 minutes.
The Filling:-
Take butter in a pan and add grated Khoya and roast it for 5-7 minutes. Let the Khoya cool down to room tempearture and then mix powdered sugar, dry fruits and decicated coconut to it.
Rolling the Gujiyas:-
Roll round Puris of the dough carefully. Apply some water on the edges of this rolled puri and fill it with the filling and seal the edges making sure there are no air bubbles. Pinch the edge of the puri and pull it in with your thumb giving a decorative pattern to the Gujiyas.
Frying:-
Take a saucepan and heat some oil in it. Once the oil is hot enough fry the Gujiyas in the oil till golden brown in colour.
Your Holi Special Gujiyas are ready to eat!
