Bollywood actress Kajol, who made her comeback in Bollywood in 2015, with Rohit Shetty’s action comedy “Dilwale”, opposite Shah Rukh Khan now all set to make her comeback in southern cinema, with actor Dhanush’s forthcoming film Velaiyilla Pattathari 2, which will be directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth. It is a sequel to 2014 blockbuster film, Velaiyilla Pattathari.
“VIP2” went on the floors on Thursday in Chennai with the blessings of superstar Rajinikanth, who launched the film with the traditional mahurat clap.
Recently the actress too started shooting for the film and shared a picture of her with Dhanush and Saundarya on her official twitter handle and tweeted : “Finally 1st day photoshoot! #backtotamilafter20yrs#thenewteam”.
Exactly two decades ago the actress made her debut in Tamil cinema in 1997 with Minsara Kanavu, in which she shared screen space with Arvind Swamy and Prabhu Deva. The film was a commercial and critical hit. With Academy-award winner AR Rahman’s music.
Kajol had won the hearts of Tamil film audience with her acting and dancing skills.
However she disappeared from Kollywood to focus on her Bollywood career.
