Unusual footage has emerged from the UK of a man standing on the tracks in front of a train in a bizarre protest over a rail ticket.
The video, captured at Hatfield Station, Hertfordshire on Tuesday, shows the man walking out onto the tracks and holding up the train, provoking outrage from train passengers.
According to local reports, the incident - which occurred at around 5pm - caused initial delays of around 45 minutes, with residual delays lasting until the end of the day.
"'Some geezer has actually run on the train tracks and standing in front of trains all coz he can't afford his train fare," the filmer wrote online.
"All this over a train fare," he added.
British Transport Police said they responded to reports of a man on the train tracks.
They also confirmed that officers detained the man and took him to hospital.
