We recap the highlights from Day 3 in the Mara Triangle, Kenya. We witnessed a small herd of buffalo harassing the most magnificent male lion, Scarface, who has lost his right eye and is now 10-12 years old, approaching the end of his time in the Mara Triangle. We hoped for a small group of wildebeest and zebras to head down and pass the water edge crossing but unfortunately a 15-foot crocodile lurked around the waters carrying half of a wildebeest corpse in his jaws. Heading towards another crossing, we saw a bigger group of wildebeest thinking about heading south, but another ‘stupid’ crocodile waited by the edge with his mouth wide open and this was enough to halt their progress. The sun had set and we saw a starving female lion from the Kichwa Tembo pride trying to hunt her prey on three separate occasions but she was consistently unsuccessful in her pursuit. We are hoping to see more of her hunt tomorrow. Stay tuned for more safariLIVE in the Mara Triangle from
