On April 19th, a 70-year-old woman named Daljinder Kaur gave birth to her first baby, a boy named Arman Singh, through in vitro fertilization, or IVF. 

IVF is a process where the woman’s eggs are fertilized by the man’s sperm in a lab, and one or more resulting embryos are implanted back in the mother until delivery.

Kaur underwent two years of the fertility treatment with the support of her husband, age 79, with whom she has been married for the past 46 years.
