Prithvi was the Rajput ruler from Chauhan dynasty to sit on the throne of Delhi, is the son of Someshwar Chauhan, King of Ajmer and Delhi in northern India during the latter half of the 12th century.
Proficient in military skills, he succeeds to the throne of Ajmer at the age of thirteen after his father dies in a battle. His mother's father, Anangpal Tomar, ruler of Delhi, declares him his heir after discovering his courage and bravery. Chauhan falls in love with Sanyogita (Samyukta), the daughter of his enemy Jaichand of Kannauj and abducts her at her swayamvara ceremony.
aving heard about the richness of India, Muhammad Ghori marches with his huge army to loot Delhi. He is beaten black and blue by the ruler of Delhi, the great Prithviraj Chauhan. But Ghori was not ready to give up even if he had to attack again and again. In Kannauj, King Jaichand organizes the swayamvar of his beloved daughter Sanyogita and invites all the Kings of India except Prithviraj Chauhan, as he was the only king who refused to bow to Jaichand. In a dramatic manner Prithviraj Chauhan charges into the swayamvar and flees with his beloved Sanyogita.No king dared to stop him. Now Prithviraj Chauhan has two enemies. Jaichand wants revenge against Prithviraj Chauhan at any cost. Muhammad Ghori wants a chance to defeat Prithviraj Chauhan. And then Jaichand does something that will change the history of India. He decides to join hands with Muhammad Ghori against Prithviraj Chauhan.
