Hindu and Sikh participants weep

LAHORE: The Geo TV presented 12-hour long marathon transmission in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi, which mesmerised the viewers.
The special live transmission ‘Syeda Amina key Laal’ started at 12pm and continued till midnight, as famous personalities from various walks of life during their discussion with Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain paid rich tributes to the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
It was a great expression of intra-religious harmony as even the Hindu and Sikh participants wept while declaring the Prophet (PBUH) as a blessing for all. Dr Aamir started the programme with Na’at and captured the attention of viewers with his lively discussion.
On the occasion, Goswami Vijay Kumar Maharaj - pundit of Darya Laal Mandir in Karachi - described Eid Milad-un-Nabi as a day of happiness for everyone. He called for reopening the closed temples, especially the one at Ratan Talao, and handing them over to the Hindu community -a demand which was backed by Dr Aamir.
Sardar Bhola Sindh - All Pakistan Sikh Welfare Committee chairman and former president of Gurdawara Guru Granth Sahib Maharaj - expressed solidarity with Muslims and congratulated them on the auspicious occasion.
Christian leader Bishop Sadiq Daniel stressed the need for promoting the message of human equality through such events. On the occasion, Dr Aamir congratulated the Christian community for Christmas.
Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Sindh deputy chief Allama Syed Hamza Ali Qadri described Eid Milad-un-Nabi as the biggest Eid, while Dr Hafiz Zahid Ali Malik and Allama Shabbir Hassan also expressed similar views.
Dr Fazal Ahmed of Jinnah University for Women, Karachi, said the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) could change the lives, while Barrister Khawaja Naveed said the Prophet (PBUH) laid the foundations for a society based upon justice.
Famous film director Syed Noor said the Prophet (PBUH) completed the religion, while Behroz Sabzwari stressed the need for remembering the students martyred in the APS attack. Actor Ayaz Khan presented Na’at on the occasion.
Dr Shaista Lodhi said the programme gave a unique message for intra-religious harmony. Dr Huma Mir too praised Dr Aamir for his knowledge and presentation.
Botanical specialist Dr Bilqees and home expert Ufaira Anees Saad were also among those expressing their views.During the programme, Imran Sheikh Attari and Hafiz Ahmed Raza Qadri too mesmerised the viewers through reciting Na’ats.
