Earlier this month, climber Toby Roberts became the youngest Brit in history to climb the grade of 8a/5.13b. His successful ascent of 'Raindogs' at Malham Cove in Yorkshire made headlines in the UK so we decided to grab a word with Toby and his dad to find out more about it. 'Raindogs' has seen a lot of ascents from younger climbers and while it might suit those with more strength than reach, it is by no means a pushover. In fact, the last section is so desperate that it is considered acceptable to grab the chains and still claim the ascent. Famously, Chris Sharma, unfamiliar with this chain-grabbing beta narrowly missed the onsight when he tried it, so Toby finds himself in some pretty big company.
