Heavy rains triggered flash flooding and pushed creeks and rivers over their banks in south central Texas on October 30. The National Weather Service called the flooding in the region historic, according to local media. More than 13 inches of rain fell in some areas of the region, and the flooding closed roads and necessitated water rescues.
