NEW YORK ? A 24-year-old Bronx woman was gunned down in front of a Flatiron District nightclub early Monday morning after an angry man opened fire at the club's bouncers.

One woman was killed and two women were injured when they were shot outside Motivo, a nightclub in Manhattan's Flatiron District between 5th Avenue and Broadway.

Before the shooting, a man inside the club reportedly got into an altercation with others inside the club and was forcibly removed from the club by bouncers. According to the New York Daily News, the man then vowed "revenge" and said that he would return with a gun.

As three women left Motivo at around 4 a.m., the gunman opened fire in their direction while apparently aiming for the bouncers. One woman was shot in the back, another was shot in the shoulder and the third was shot in the hip and foot. The 24-year-old victim who was shot in the back later died of her injuries at a local hospital.

After the shooting, the gunman fled the scene in a dark-colored BMW. The suspected shooter is from the Bronx and is believed to be part of the "DYMES R US" gang. The motive for the shooting is still unclear.
